We have spent years visiting Blackpool and particularly the Famous Theatre Bar,even when we have not actaually stayed at the Queens.I thought its character and age must have classed it as a listed building. Not anymore, the new owners have vandilised the whole character of this famous attraction, ripping out the Queens Box leaving a blank wall blocking the view of the bar area. The entertainment is still passable without reaching the heights of the past owners but it now sounds tinny, without the old placing of the stage. No rock @ roll which has now moved to Hampton road social club and I would advise this venues superiority.God, surely they shouldent have got planning permission for ruining part of Blackpools fame.

A nice enough place with a slightly older clientele set, free entry and reasonable bar prices.
Bingo at 8.30pm but only if you're a resident!
Decent family entertainment usually too, we visit Blackpool once or twice a year for a night or two at most and we mostly end up in here.
The sanitising gel dispensing toilet door handle is brilliant! What a great idea.

I went to the Queens Bar for a quiet drink with a friend and found it was a very noisy place, poor quality seating and not many of the seat which were available.
If you want to have a dance go here; you may find a grab a granny.
Drinks are a little pricey compared with other places. Needs a good overhaul and clean.

Stayed for a 5 day break, and am delighted at the Improvement , The Entertainment is now catering for everyone, instead of just Rock and roll fans, the room has lost its royal box, which is a shame, but the new dj is doing a great job, and so are the new artists. Well done Queens !!

Stayed here for a week with my husband and 9yr old and 2yr old however compared to the amazingly good hotel stay we had this theatre bar we only spent 5minutes in! The act on stage and the other customers in there (mainly OAPs) looked at my children like they were the plague. The women behind the bar took us that the children were not allowed on the dance floor! Made me wonder why they had one then. So we left and went back to the sun terrace on the other side of the hotel as anyone with a 2 year old will know you can not stop them from wondering on to a dance floor if they want to. The act that was on for the short time I was in there was terrible also, tacky jokes and very full of himself. So we didn't miss much anyway by leaving.

A great place for adults in the evening with high quality live acts - singing, comedy, cabaret, etc.
