Blackpool Zoo is a family friendly attraction, providing fun and education for all ages. Situated only 2 miles inland the Promenade, the park is easily accessible from the M55 motorway. Over 1000 animals, birds and reptiles reside in a scenic 32 acre park amidst mature trees, lakes and spacious lawns where the kids can burn off their excess energy. All your favourites are here including big cats, elephants, giraffes, sealions, gorillas, orangutans, camels, zebras and many, many more. Opened in 2014, the new Orangutan Outlook allows visitors to get up close and personal with these charismatic apes. Open daily (except Christmas Day) from 10 am, the park's closing times vary seasonally.

When the beach, tower etc have taken their toll then this is good to break up the week. It does what it says on the tin.

This was the first time that we have visited Blackpool zoo, we had booked online in advance to our visit which meant we saved money but we also saved money on the meal deals that they do which was either a hotdog or burger with fries and a soft drink if we were to go again we would NOT eat... This zoo is so good for families with small children as its not too big. All the big animals you would expect are there and the view of them is good too. The sea lion show is especially fun to watch. Bring a picnic as there are plenty of benches and the cafe is a bit basic I thought. The... More

It was our first visit to the Zoo and we had a great day the weather was lovely too. There was lots of info on the animals and plenty of talks throughout the day. It was clean and tidy of all rubbish. The cafe was reasonably priced and the food was good. Will be visiting again when we're back in... More

Booked tickets online so got them cheaper. That also helped to fast track the ques. Paid £2.50 for carpark (Which should be free in my opinion) on entering the zoo we Went through the dinosaur part which was very knowledgeable yet some of the dinosaurs limbs were missing and a bit shabby looking. Had a picnic there because the food... More

The zoo is great for adults and children of all ages. I was so impressed with the wide range of animals they have and clearly look after well. It's really well signposted inside and accessible for wheelchair users. The toilets are kept clean and there are plenty of drinks/ice cream stations dotted around. If your a healthy eater like me...
