Blackpool Zoo is a family friendly attraction, providing fun and education for all ages. Situated only 2 miles inland the Promenade, the park is easily accessible from the M55 motorway. Over 1000 animals, birds and reptiles reside in a scenic 32 acre park amidst mature trees, lakes and spacious lawns where the kids can burn off their excess energy. All your favourites are here including big cats, elephants, giraffes, sealions, gorillas, orangutans, camels, zebras and many, many more. Opened in 2014, the new Orangutan Outlook allows visitors to get up close and personal with these charismatic apes. Open daily (except Christmas Day) from 10 am, the park's closing times vary seasonally.

We like to visit the zoo every other visit to Blackpool and once again it provided a nice day out for the family. Food and drinks are (as to be expected) a bit on the pricey side, but you can bring your own food in if you don't want to pay the zoo's prices. Sadly there are also plenty of... More

Excellent day out there Friday, kids 4 & 9 loved it! Plenty of shows and animals and a few play areas and other activities for kids on the way round to break the day up too. Only thing I'd recommend is to take your own food plenty of places to sit and eat either on benches or grass.

The zoo is great! All the animals (and there are lots of them!) look well looked after and happy. The entry fee is reasonable and the car park is only £2.50 for the whole day. It's a great place to go and spend your morning/afternoon.

What a great little zoo, its compact but plenty to see, We ended up spending about 5 hours there. The big cats and the sea-lion talks were good fun.

We managed to get a cheap deal through a radio website. The zoo is really big with lots of animals. Unfortunately as it was really hot the lions were not out. WE did manage to see the Tiger feeding. There are lots of picnic areas and the grounds are really well kept. There are a few extras like the train,... More

I absolutely love this zoo purely for the lemur enclosure. You can walk along and the lemurs are just out and about doing their own thing!

Loved every minute. We were there from opening until just before closing. Went to many talks with a 7 year old who enjoyed them. Sea lions show was fab but get there very early on a busy to to guarantee seeing it. We missed the format showing we went to so got there 25 mins early for the next one.... More

It's been a couple of years since I've been to blackpool zoo but I went with my daughter, her husband and 7 month grandson. We totally enjoyed the experience. parking is £2.50 for the day (which I thought a bit expensive as entrance to the zoo isn't cheap ) I would have liked to have seen bigger enclosures for some...
