    Heritage Tour
Highly recommend the Heritage Tour. Francis was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the history and origins of the tower. It was great to see behind the scenes of the tower and learn about where it has come from to where it is now. The tower ballroom is AMAZING and to see the Whirlitzer rise was a highlight and I am so glad Francis made sure we saw it. Having been to the tower many times before, this is definitely one of my favourite and most memorable times. Thank you Francis for a great couple of hours.
Good Afternoon Thank you for your 5* review I am so pleased that you had such a great time on the Heritage Tour, this really is a great addition to the experiences we offer and Francis is a fantastic host to these so thank you for the kind comments, I will be sure to pass this onto him! Kind Regards Aaron

    FRANCIS IS A LEGEND !
We did the heritage tour of the tower It's the best thing I have EVER done in Blackpool and I have been to blackpool many times. Our guide Francis should definitely be congratulated for his knowledge attention to detail and passion for his subject. He explained masses of fascinating history and pointed out detail I had never noticed before.
Hello. Thank you so much for your 5* review. I am so pleased you enjoyed the tour and moreover that you had such a wonderful guide. Francis is very passionate and it is truly fantastic to hear that this came apparent during your tour. Francis will truly appreciate your kind words. Thank you once again. Kind regards, Aaron.

    Great experience
In all the years I've visited Blackpool, this is the first time I've been to the Tower, and I wasn't disappointed. Great organisation, staff were lovely, and the views were amazing. The glass floor was a bit scary! Thanks so much.

    A really interesting tour!
We found out by chance that there was a heritage tour of the tower so we booked our tickets it was confusing to know where to queue for the tour as none of the notices mentioned it! When we found where we should be we met our guide Francis he was friendly and has such an amazing wealth of knowledge about the tower! He made our tour really interesting and we learnt a lot about the towers history. I would highly recommend this tour we really enjoyed it!
Hello Chris. Thank you for your 5* review. I am sorry you had trouble finding where to go but I am so pleased that once you had found Francis you enjoyed your tour and found that you took away a wealth of knowledge. Thank you for joining us. Kind regards, Aaron.

    Great experience
All staff were fantastic from ticket purchase to exiting. The eye was great. Brilliant views. The ballroom breathtaking. Matthew who was on the door of the ballroom 29.08.23 was particularly friendly and helpful and the lovely lady from the bar who (sorry to not catch her name) helped to clean my daughters spilt orange juice with a non judgmental smile. Thank you all for a lovely family friendly experience. Also a shout out to Francis who took the time for a chat when we came out of the ballroom.
Hello, Thank you for your 5* review of the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. The Ballroom is very special to us here at the Tower. Its elegance and beauty holds a lot of history and is great to experience no matter what your age. Thank you very much for the positive feedback on our team . We are always happy to hear that they have helped you enjoy your day; I will pass on your compliments! Kind regards Aaron

    Heritage tour of Blackpool tower.
We are on holiday in Blackpool and went to the Blackpool tower heritage tour in the tower. The guide was called Francis who had worked at the tower for ten years. He was brilliant, he told lots of interesting stories about the tower including the circus and ballroom. The tour wasn’t rushed and well worth a tenner. Well done Francis and Blackpool tower.

    Heritage Tour is amazing
We booked the heritage tour as a time filler before going to the theatre in the afternoon as we love Blackpool and history so it was perfect for us. Francis the tour guide was such a brilliant host, energetic, enthusiastic, friendly, funny and knowledgeable about the tower and its history after working there for 10 years. The tour covers several areas of the tower including the Circus and the beautiful Ballroom. Francis really brings the towers history to life and points out all sorts of little features you would otherwise miss. There are quite a few steps involved which is clearly mentioned when booking so please bear this in mind if you have walking difficulties. Overall was both fun and informative and we felt it was definitely £10 well spent. We could have spent all day listening to Francis and his wonderful stories and facts! Book this tour- you won't regret it and you will come away with a new found love of the tower, even if you are local and think you know all about it - you might be surprised!

    Heritage Tour
Took part in the heritage tour of the tower, which was really good - very confusing at the start as the tour started at 10, but the doors didn’t open until 10, so was a bit manic! Francis our tour guide was very informative and spoke to the group in great detail, went places not seen before - just wish you could go behind the scene in the circus where the animals were kept, that would of been out of this world, as that part of the tower is there, was worked on for filming and should be shown on the tour I believe! Other than that, I enjoyed the tour, made the most of the information given and for sure would recommend this tour - just add the circus back stage and it would be AMAZING!!
Good Afternoon Thank you for your 4* review I am so pleased to see that you enjoyed the Heritage Tour and thank you for the lovely feedback about Francis! I hope you will visit us again Kind Regards Aaron

Heritage tour - great wheelchair access
For many years I was told that due to the size & weight of my electric wheelchair that I couldn’t access the ballroom. Something I had always wanted to do. Following an email exchange I was told I WOULD be able to go in to the ballroom. The guys running the heritage tour were extremely knowledgeable & I had a dedicated member of staff who escorted us around when some of the areas weren’t as accessible. We had an exclusive look behind the scenes of the ballroom (white corridor) as this was the only way I could access the ballroom. But what a lovely surprise to see all the old photos along the wall, see where they keep all the production equipment, where those strictly stars walk through. Francis & his team were very passionate about the tower & this shone through & added to the experience. The only slight problem was gaining access to the tower as the portable ramp wasn’t ready so unless you have someone with you to go & ask for it, this could be a problem.

    Blackpool Tower ‘Pick ‘n’ Mix’
The pick n mix pass is great value. My daughter and I did.., The Blackpool eye. (Great views from the top and the glass floor) The Tower ballroom. ( watching the dancers, listening to the Wurlitzer and imagining Strictly!) Madame Tussauds ( up close foe selfies and laughs) Sea life centre (Wow better than expected and better that other sea life centres visited) Could have done more circus, gruffallo or Peter Rabbit, but too tired! Great value for money at £35 each. This was off season so we could easily change visit times to pack things in!
Good Afternoon Thank you for your 5* review I am so pleased to see that you had a great time at our attractions, and I must agree, the new Pick n Mix pass is really great value for money! I hope you will visit us again Kind Regards Aaron

So disappointed with our visit to the iconic Blackpool tower. Online booking only and it wouldn't let us book. Ticket office queuing was not exactly covid friendly. Purchased a ticket for tuessads as well and told to reverse online - you can't.

4D tower experience was OK. However the blackpool depicted was not the tired dirty experience we had. Top marks for marketing though.

Glass floor experience was impossible to social distance. Folk lying on the floor and touching glass with No One cleaning or sanitising. I saw 1 hand sanitiser on this floor. None on the upper tiers where folk have to grip rails on the very narrow staircases. The chicken wire stuck on the top of the tower just adds to the feeling its all done on the cheap.

Throughout decor was drab and shabby and dirty looking. Carpets were awful No cafe facilities at all open in it but would doubt hygiene arrangements. The ballroom was closed and I'm glad. If its in the same state as the rest of the place I'd be a bit gutted.

Don't get me started on the the absolute disgusting state of the surrounding area at the bottom of the tower. Looks tacky and cheap.

We spent a whole day in the Tower! It is very disability friendly. We walked across the glass panelled floor which was terrifying for me, but a beautiful view at the same time.
Then visited the circus which was hilarious for kids as well as adults.

The only disappointment was the Costa Coffee. They didn’t accept a gift card as they were “not allowed to take them” as well as not using the points system. Then they only had the large cups making you spend even more money on a limited menu.
As it was the only thing open, you felt compelled to just get on with your order.

Other than this, the Tower in itself was great!

Took the family to the Tower last week, the Circus was good with Mooky and Boo giving us many laughs and the trapeze acts were impressive. We didn't like having to wear face masks for two hours and there wasn't much atmosphere in the Circus with many empty rows due to social distancing. But we accepted all this was necessary because of covid and government instructions.

However, we usually liked to spend a few hours in the Ballroom, so we were very disappointed that it was shut. Why? Social Distancing on the dance floor could obviously be a problem, but what about the people who don't want to dance? Why can't the Ballroom be open for Afternoon Tea ( which we were all thinking of having as a family treat) with properly spaced out tables? Or organ enthusiasts who want to listen to the Wurlitzer? Yes, the dancing is nice to watch and adds to the atmosphere, but surely the Towers could have a few exhibition dancers or even invite some regular dancers to boost the atmosphere. If these options are not possible then even without any dancing happening, the Ballroom has a great atmosphere.

We were sorry too, that Francis has left the Tower. His good humour was infectious. We will never forget him lifting our mood as we waited outside in long queues on a cold and rainy day. Meeting Francis was always fun, it's a pity that he has gone.

We were glad that we didn't book tickets for the Eye as the queues were too long. We've visited the Tower many times but this was not a particularly happy visit.

Good Afternoon Thank you for your review I am sorry hear that your visit was not an enjoyable one. We have worked tirelessly to make sure that we can welcome guests back in the safest way possible and this means reducing the capacity of the Circus so it will seem different to a visit pre Covid-19. In regards to the Ballroom, I am sorry for any disappointment however we are still following the Government guidelines which means we have to remain closed. Francis along with many other members of the team here are currently working in different areas or venues that are run by Merlin. Kind Regards Kenny Mew

The tower itself is fantastic and as are the staff. Unfortunately given the climate other customers visiting are lazy in observing social distancing and nobody seemed to be present near queues to enforce. An unnecessary queue inside was an issue which snaked around and more people could of been outdoors waiting instead of indoors

I remember visiting Blackpool Tower when I was a kid, back when it was tower world and you could access everything. Now it have been carved to pieces by Merlin entertainment and they are ticketing the different sections at ridiculous rates.

We decided to visit the tower itself because my wife had never been. For £43 myself, my wife and my son got to wait in a line for a stupid amount of time to visit a pointless 4D cinema (of low quality) then ride upto the tower, back down into the gift shop and go home. We were there just under and hour. I'm devastated that this once great family attraction has been destroyed by Merlin Entertainment. It's all about the money now and the experience and joy has been sucked dry.

DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY!

Been to Blackpool so many times but never been up the tower until today! Friendly staff guiding us through the rooms, welcoming us into a 4D cinema about the history of Blackpool and the Tower itself. Snow, rain and wind effects, bubbles and rumbles made this worth going to just for that. Then guided through to a lift and up 380 feet to the top of the tower. Fantastic views of the city, sea and ground below. Will definitely visit again.

Had booked the Tower& Eye, Circus and Ballroom the night before attending. Got there for 2:15pm to be rushed into the Circus. The Circus area was beautiful however this family of 5 including 3 teenagers felt that the show was dated, jokes lacked impact, acts weren't as rehearsed as they should have been with one young performer taking a fall. After the Circus we travelled towards the Tower for there to be no entry or staff available to give advice. Thankfully a lovely young lady cleaning up advised us it was closed for the day......which was news to us. We attended reception to be met with poor customer service from staff citing that emails were sent that morning and there was a no refund policy. As you can imagine this was our Easter break for a family of 5 so it wasn't a cheap day out at any cost. We were told our tickets were revalidated for 12 month......um no thank you. After some discussion and frank words from husband we got the last 15 minutes in the Ballroom followed by exchanging our Tower Tickets for the Dungeons. The Ballroom was underwhelming and not worth the entry fee of £9 each not matter whatvtime you enter or how long you get to stay. Both my girls who dance, one is a big Strictly fan weren't impressed. Thankfully the Dungeons saved the attraction, with great staff and customer service. It had been around 34 years since my husband and I had last visited The Blackpool Tower and needless to say its not the Tower of our Youth. Yes, its still pretty in parts. However the paying for different areas, and capitalising on Strictly hasn't done it any favours. We won't be back in 12 years from now let alone 12 months. We wouldn't recommend the attraction either.

Not covid safe at all. I know that we are out of the main civil restrictions but some of us are still being careful. All of the other attractions we visited gave a nod to social distancing for careful guests. The Tower lift was PACKED and we were pushed and pushed to get more people in. We had to book a time slot which made us feel a sense of safety, but obviously far too many people were allocated each slot. View at the top great but ..... I wish we hadn't gone!! Been testing ourselves regularly since arrived home.

Hello. Thank you for your review. It is great to hear that you enjoyed the stunning views from the Tower Top. I am sorry you felt unsafe. Here at The Blackpool Tower we have several measures in place, including reduced capacity, hand sanitisers available around the building, enhanced cleaning, and increased ventilation, amongst others. All our attractions meet (and in many cases exceed) the current government guidance, however all of our measures are under constant review, and we appreciate your feedback from your visit. Kind regards Kenny

t is a legal requirement to visit the Tower when staying in Blackpool & we ensured we did not fall foul of this vital requirement 😂.

We had the combination tickets which enabled us to visit the Tower Eye, Circus & Sealife Centre. We also visited the dinosaur mini golf (which was seen as a ticket upgrade).

The Eye was excellent and it was fun to walk across the glass. We were unlucky with the weather, but this did not bother us. I was slightly surprised they crammed us into the lift given the continue impact of COVID-19. The Eye enables great views of the Blackpool region & the 4D cinema experience was great.

The circus was fantastic & the children absolutely loved the clown and ring master. The acts were also very talented, the circus was roughly 90 minutes and the time flew by.

The dinosaur mini golf was fun and the opportunity to play with a nice sea view was great. The price was very reasonable and the course whilst challenging was appropriate for those aged 4+.

My only criticism of the venue was that it was at times a bit tired (in terms of the cafe & general decor). It is clear the restoration task is never ending, which makes my next point slightly contradictory. I felt the charging for the balcony to watch the dancers within the Ballroom was slightly harsh (but the reason was to find further restoration).

A must if in the town.

Great to see inside decor in there. A great experience with 4d showing Blackpool tower going through different eras well worth the money brilliant. Then a lift journey to views at top with glass floor went on a clear day with great views. All staff doing great job of constant cleaning up there, well done really enjoyed it.
