On arriving in Blackpool we went to the central pier with the family. Lots to do for everyone. Lots of rides for the children to go on

Good views of the Tower and Blackpool from the pier as well as entertainment for the children, bars for the adults. A lovely bistro type bar at the entrance to the pier. Be warned the pier is undergoing restoration, and the decking can be quite slippery when wet.

Whilst visiting the Illuminations on 29th October, we took the opportunity to go on the Big Wheel. There can be no better view of the Tower and the Golden Mile in all their illuminated glory. Also enjoyed the Dodgems and arcades.

We decided to walk along Blackpools Central Pier, Its a mini amusement park for families with children. A few benches to sit while looking out to sea.

Took three small grandchildren and let them go on Ferris Wheel with their 16 year old uncle. Cost £11 and they never got a full cycle as a hydraulic brake broke spurting oil everywhere and stopping the ride. All us parents were panicking as we had kids on it. The engineers had to fit a rope thing and pull it... More

Spent a few hours here in October and went on some rides. Great photo opportunity of the tower from the end of the pier

Went here with the kids during half term, very crowded, smelly in the amusment arcades and toilets disgusting, kids did have fun on the rides though but £9.30 for me and 2 children to go on a ride that lasted around a minute is a bit steep!

Whaler better than Blackpool to spend a long weekend or your summer holiday. So many attractions to see and visit, with the added attraction of the lights. It's a no brainer.

Went Saturday night to see Kings and queens and had a great time. Brilliant show from beginning to end!! Not keen on the monsters from Thriller running around the crowd but the show was amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

As the title says, didn't know whether to give it a three, as its rough round the edges, brash, neglected and none too clean. But it has a rough charm about it. Children love the amusements, and rides - I wouldn't let Dylan near the slideshows ( in his innocence he still thinks they're honest games of skill). We went... More
