Makes a very interesting walk for a photographer with the light low coming in from the west casting shadows across the lovely wide promenade. Plenty of people walking together, running and on bikes, the must go to place to get fresh air and exercise.

Large promenade between the piers with some strange structures that sway in the wind. An attempt to brighten up the prom.

Walked along the promenade early evening whilst the illuminations were on and we were really impressed. We sat and watched the light show being beamed onto the tower building. It wasn't very busy when we were there but it still had a good atmosphere to...More

A stunning array of sculptures, including the hauntingly beautiful wave organ (time it right with the tides to hear it play) and the enormous glitterball, which is lit up at night during try holiday season, providing a mesmerising display. Sea views, accessible for wheelchair users...More

More seafronts could take a leaf out of Blackpool's book. There is lots to look at as you stroll - huge sculptures. Daughter loved the massive glitterball, I liked the whale's tail diving into the pavement. Worth the time to go for a walk.

Very good job done on the new promenade, but beware cyclists they zoom past, keep eyes peeled at all times. Its a nice easy level walk the full length of the beach.
