Brockhole on Windermere offers activities to suit everyone, from toddlers to adventure seekers to those in search of an ultra-relaxing experience whilst enjoying their time in the Lake District. It's all here in one place, set against stunning mountain views on the shores of Windermere in the Lake District National Park, Cumbria. From family activities to glorious garden tours and seasonal events, there really is something for all ages. Why not explore 30 acres of beautiful historical gardens and grounds? Or picnic by the lakeshore and enjoy secret beaches with the family? If the children are feeling more adventurous they can swing or bounce through ancient woodland on Treetop Trek and Treetop Nets. Down by the lakeshore, you can hire kayaks and rowing boats, enjoy or catch the cruise boat across the lake, depending on the season. There's also archery, bike hire and mini golf on offer during the season. Don't forget to finish your day by taking in the stunning lake views offering stunning views towards the distant Langdale Pikes at the terrace café, while enjoying local ales and dishes. There's also a well-stocked gift shop and ever changing exhibition space to enjoy indoors.

Brockholes is a fantastic venue and the activities are perfectly suited to the environment however; the parking is a dangerous venture which may leave many visitors with a hefty fine on their return home. But, before you go, do some research (and saving) and look at prebooking of activities as you may be turned away if they are busy. My... More

Such a great location with lots of outdoor things to do with access to lakeside. We did the high ropes course great fun and staff friendly. Only critism would be I don't think you should pay for parking if booked onto one of the activities. After spending near to £80 on the two of us this should includ parking. Seems... More

Went with grandsons ages 12, 13, 14. They went on the full tree top adventure with the zip wire at the end. It was awesome, have lived in Lancaster 10 years and only just found it, wished I had known about it earlier. Would like to see a loyalty scheme for return visits. Will be telling all my friends.

Brockhole has great scenery and also offers a range of activities for families. Cafe was great. Family particularly enjoyed the aerial adventure with Tree top treks.

Great activity for kids of all ages. My grandson was nervous at first but ended up loving the large zip wire at the end.

We went here today after having tried and failed for over an hour to find a space in a Windemere car park. Please note that it was a busy day at Brockhole and so the car park attendants were turning cars away if the occupants hadn't already booked an activity to attend. The park is clean and with free entry... More

So much fun to have here for all ages. Free to enter by foot or pay to park. Pony rides (we, 2 x parents and 2 x children participated and had so much fine even if it was for 15 mins) you can hire a boat, so high net fun, zip wire, there's a huge trampoline maize type thing to... More
