Not hard and only a few miles. Great view at the top over a good stretch of Lake Windermere. Definitely worth the walk and easy to get to from Windermere village.

Very gentle walk that everyone can go without waterproof shoes and other equipment. Went there for the sunset view and it didn't disappoint us. Awesome view of the river and the farm behind! Definitely worth going!

Have done this short walk twice with 37 year gap in between and both times the clouds have been down, drizzle falling and no views ! But a decent walk nonetheless, through pleasant woodland giving interesting birdwatching opportunities. And all from Windermere bus/train station.

Provided you have your hiking boots/Wellies, this pleasant walk, which is a good half hour gentle paced gradual climb, becomes well worth it due to a lovely panoramic view from the hill's summit.

During the Winter months the higher fells usually have a coating of snow. If there was snow this is where you would see (but not necessarily be in it).
