This walk is easy not too steep but when you reach the top there is a fantastic view of lake Windermere and to the left on a good day you can see morcambe bay.

Manageable walk to the top with a great view of the surrounding area can be a bit muddy if it's been raining so may need your gumboots.

Simple walk to get one the best panoramic views of Windermere. 20 minute gentle uphill walk, starting across road at T junction near Railway station. Guess what after you get there, it’s all downhill thereafter!

Perhaps a 20 minute walk from Windermere to the top. Mostly quite easy, but not for wheelchairs, nor for the infirm. As it was a tad snowy and icy underfoot, there were a few places where you had to tread carefully. However, the views from...More

Really easy and enjoyable walk with breathtaking views at the top. Paths are easy to navigate and walk up. Although there isn't a designated car park, we found spaces with relative ease at the side of the Windermere hotel. This is the much better option...More

Nice steady walk to the top and well worth it the views were fantastic. We walked up on a cold winter's day but from the top you could see all around for miles.

The weather wasn't brilliant - but we didn't know what to do, after some research we found this place! It was 100% worth it. The views were out of this world and would definitely be back. It's not too hard for people who don't have...More

It is probably a lot less muddy than when I visited in January but the terrain was quite steep and uneven in places and I wouldn’t take a buggy.

There is parking opposite the entrance to the walk, as far as i am aware it is free street parking. I parked there for most of the day and did not get a ticket, just outside some guest houses.
