Our nearest Lakeland store is about 40 miles away so when we were in the Lake District on holiday we took the opportunity to go here to the flagship store and stock up on a few items. The store has a great range of items from chocolate sprouts to food processors and everything else you could need in the kitchen.... More

As always, Lakeland Stores has a wide selection of quality goods for the household, especially the kitchen. We can always get something here. Most times we visit here we have a meal at the restaurant upstairs and generally it is very good. We like the way we can reserve a place while shopping and get "buzzed" by a pager-type device... Excellent car parking, top quality cafe, excellent toilets, a seemingly unending array of items you never knew you needed and all set in a spacious attractive setting. To cap it all we usually get a welcome from the staff as we enter. We think all that is a first rate five star shopping experience

We stopped here for lunch, and we both had a tuna ciabatta sandwich. It was really tasty and the service was good, even though it was busy. Would recommend and eat here again.

Really good indoor soft play area. I'll come back for a cup of tea and to let the little one play there again!

We retreated to the first floor café for a fresh orange juice, coffee and cake after making our purchases in their well stocked and interesting shop. Staff friendly and were able to take us to a table without us having to wait. They have increased the number of tables since our last visit and given it a makeover. We have... More

This is a great, all-weather experience. Every culinary gadget you need (and a lot you don't), in a wonderful, purpose-designed building. Upstairs, there is an excellent cafe and there are safe places for the kids to play too. Staff are unfailingly helpful and the carrier bags last forever!!Good parking, but it can get very busy at holiday times.

Been here several times and the shop is great. Sadly the restaurant is good food but v over priced. £9 for a ham and cheese sandwich and several pounds for a small glass of coke is rather extortionate. The cakes are nice but once again, very expensive. I'm happy to pay of the food is exquisite but sadly this doesn't... More
