Visited with 2 young children on Bank Holiday Monday, arrived at 10.30am and there was only a couple of car parking spaces left. Car parking free for National Trust members. It’s a lovely walk to the waterfalls, our toddler managed the walk fine, we were...More

We arrived for a weekday visit at Aira Force, we were one of the only couples there. It’s a fairly brief uphill walk, and the waterfall is worth visiting. We were in no rush, but our visit lasted around 30 minutes. Given the minimum charge...More

Really nice walk and lovely scenery. There are also plenty of resting spots to soak up the views. Some paths are uneven so would recommend proper foot wear

Called through here on a walk just to see and were very nicely surprised! Lots of paths and things for kids to do and a great sight to see the waterfall itself. Would be worth spending more time here than we did!

Arrived on the ullswater steamer run service from Glenrydding.A beautiful walk up to the top of the falls took about 20 minutes quite steep in places and uneven surface but well worth the effort.Nice National Trust cafe near entrance to car park.

Easily located off the road running around around Ullswater. The walk can be as hard or easy as you choose to make it and the views are well worthwhile. Some of the terrain is taxing so wear appropriate footwear, and I'd recommend checking the route maps...More

You have two main options to walk to Aira Force. Either use the NT car park near to the shore of Ullswater and walk upstream and then back down, or if you want a longer more challenging walk take the track opposite the Royal Hotel...More

The walks around the falls are arguably better than the falls itself. Worth donning stout shoes and spending a few hours strolling. There are interesting natural things to see pretty much wherever you look. Lots of people seemed to avoid the bottom of the falls...More

By U.K. standards an impressive series of falls. Not suitable for anyone unsteady on their feet. No dedicated parking spaces for campers and motorhomes which is odd given there is room within the existing layout.

Absolutely stunning place. The walk is not overly strenuous but does require some exertion - some routes with several steps. You do have to watch your footing due to tree roots & stones though. You can join the walk from 1 of 3 car parks...More

With being National Trust they have tried to be inclusive. However this is an area where wheel chair access is limited due to terrain etc. However still worthy of a visit.
