Easily found popular location, obviously can be very busy, better views of the lake a little further up, tree growth has reduced the panorama somewhat. Parking limited.

I must admit I was a little disappointed with the most photographed bridge in the Lakes. It is cute and set in beautiful scenery. When you just expect something more.... Worth a visit though

Sorry, but after a fairly lengthy and testing hike uphill, I found myself saying quite disappointingly, "Is that it"? The bridge is nothing of note and not worth even a picture!

We always leave Asheness Bridge for the late afternoon / evening due to the number of tourists. It's tranquil and peaceful. Parking is very close by or if you prefer the walk up there is another car park further down the hill.

Ashness Bridge is possibly one of the most photographed anywhere in the UK - a typical "chocolate box" picture. The best view is from above the bridge, looking down over Derwentwater and with the mass of Skiddaw in the background. There is parking available nearby,...More

Its a stone bridge at the end of the day, with a shallow river flowing under it, Its only claim to fame in my opinion is that its been written about lots of times
