Sadly this path is closed completely now for remedial works. It was our plan B as it was raining. Tourist information had only been advised that day. Normally a lovely walk back over Latrice into Keswick.

A lovely flat work accessible for the disabled. There is a lot of work going on to repair the bridges etc that were damaged in the floods of 2015. Still, the scenery is stunning. Great for dogs too.

A lovely place to visit. Real old type town with lots of little quaint shops to visit. Can walk to the lakes and wander round. Can also do boat trips on the lake.

This is a brilliant walk along a disused railway track. We walked out this way to climb Latrigg. However, due to damage to a bridge we had to leave the rail track earlier than planned and take an alternative route. This was ok...but the original...More

Easy walk along the old railway line. You have to return along the same route or alternatively veer off and hike up the rear of Latrigg. This walk is more strenuous and the path is very uneven in places.

I am sure it used to be nice when the locals kept it quiet but now due to its flat terrain it is over run with joggers, dog walkers and young families with fat kids on pushbikes going at 1 mph.

One of the old bridges was swept away by floods a couple of years ago and funds are being raised to build a new one. It is still a lovely relaxed walk if you have an hour to spare and takes you from Fitz Park...More

This railway path out to Trelkeld is lovely for walking or cycling. Most of it is quite flat and easy. There is one section where you go over a closed tunnel. However a long section in the middle is not currently accessible (and wont be...More

Sorry, the path is not paved. The good news is that it should be OK for a bike with stabilisers. The path is both flat and even and the surface is well compacted with occasional stretches of gravel. My wife's mobility... More
