Derwent Water has a nicely built out path built by the lakeside. there are boats and kayaks for hire, not to mention a lovely path called Castle Cragg trail which is an easy walk and gives a sense of the lake.

Stunning views and lovely walk we set off from Keswick through Pontinscale and walked round as far as the Marymount hotel where we stopped for a drink and caught the boat back to Keswick. Fantastic day out for all ages
