About
Come and meet our alpacas... We are based in the south of Kendal on the edge of the Lake District a UNESCO world heritage site and would love you to come and enjoy the experience of spending time with our fur babies. Take an alpaca for a walk, come and meet our herd at their home by booking a 'Meet & Greet' or we can bring our alpacas to you! Residential Care homes, schools, activity centres or party venues, the possibilities are endless. You will fall in love with these fluffy, inquisitive animals by the end of your visit and hopefully have learnt a lot more about them. Our walk is over The Helm to the south of Kendal, a public access hill with 360 degree panoramic views over Kendal and the surrounding Lakeland and Yorkshire fells. For people of any age and most abilities we offer a "Meet & Greet" at the alpacas home 5 minutes from J36 of the M6. Come and spend time with these quirky, inquisitive animals, feed them, enjoy their company. Go to our website for full details.

Went on a Wreay Syke Alpaca trek today. It was so lovely. Jane and Paul are wonderful people. Their instructions on how to get there were impeccable and they do such a good job when on the trek.
My wife and I walked Jura and Braveheart. Two absolutely stunning, kind and patient Alpacas.
I couldn't recommend going on a trek more.
5/5.

Amazing Experience
May 2021 • Family
Had an amazing experience walking the alpacas over the weekend! Location was easy to find and when we arrived we were given a safety briefing and some information to ensure us and the alpacas were kept safe. We had the pleasure of walking Idris and Benedict and both were so cute and clever. Learnt lots of fun facts and got see and purchase some amazing items made from alpaca wool. Will definitely be back!

Brilliant experience

Had a great time walking Benedict and Idris today. We were given a briefing before starting the walk, to ensure we were all safe and learned a lot of interesting information about the alpacas along the way. The alpacas were friendly, adorable and clever. The walk was on the Helm, which has the odd narrow hilly part but is mostly a nice walk. At the end we were shown some beautiful hand made alpaca wool products and I bought a keyring made from the wool of Benedict, who I walked.

Alpaca meet and greet
Apr 2021 • Family
Fantastic meet and greet with the Alpacas . My four year old daughter absolutely loved the experience and hasn’t stopped talking about it since . Jane was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. Very good value too . Highly recommended for families with children who like animals. Charlotte loved the feeding experience.

Great animal experience
Dec 2020 • Family
Wonderful experience, had a great time. Both fun and educational. Definitely worth a visit. It was freezing but the time just flew. Our little boy is animal mad andoved the personal approach that let him be right in his element. The information given was very informative and interesting. Our favourite alpacas were Enzo and Quattro! Ext time we are allowed to visit we will definitely be back. Great value for mone, in fact I think charging more would be ok.

Unique Experience - A Must For Animal Lovers
Oct 2020 • Family
Meeting the gorgeous, friendly herd of Alpacas at Wreay Syke was a lovely experience and a highlight of our recent 'staycation'. Many thanks to Jane for a great 'Meet and Greet' which included lots of info about these lovable animals.
Highly recommended, and with covid safety measures in place not to be missed if you are in the area.

Amazing!

We had the absolute pleasure of walking with Rolo, Bravehart and Enzo yesterday with Jane and Paul - it was fabulous! Jane and Paul are such lovely people and have an enormous amount of love for the Alpacas. I’m not the greatest Walker but they adapted the route somewhat for us and it didn’t take away anything from the experience- there is also the beauty that Alpacas walk at an easy pace! Thank you guys- it was the highlight of our weekend and we wish you every success in the future! Jane, James and Eleanor xx ( and good call for the pub recommendation- we got in but came away alpaca less unfortunately as I couldn’t buy James a pint to persuade him as he was driving 😬)
