Lovely campsite in stunning location! Great value for money, quiet, clean site and just a 10 minute walk into Hawkshead. Booked for 2 nights and ended up staying for 4. Will definitely be back as so much to do in the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend this campsite.

Another stay at this little gem of a campsite. Beautiful scenery, quiet and relaxing break. Lovely clean amenities and fab hot showers. Lovely ten minute walk to Hawkshead village. Already booked another trip.

A lovely campsite with very clean showers and toilets.
Hairdryers too. ✅
Plenty of room for the tent too on the grass.
Only a short walk into the village via a path just on the edge of the site.
Lovely to be around the animals and Gin the pig.
Have already booked to return later in the summer.

This was our 2nd time here and its as good as ever!
Important things when your camping I suppose are the views and the wash facilities, both really good.
The bathrooms are cleaned every day and are spot on, the showers have great water pressure.
The views are fantastic and location wise, your a short stroll to Hawkshead, and a short drive to Grizedale Forest. Also don't forget to check out Chester's by the River, a nice cafe with a short stroll to Elterwater.
There is also a really nice TV room with faster Wi-Fi that we get at home, handy for checking weather, planning your stay, and keeping unto date with the cricket!
The only thing I would say on a negative is that some pitches are on a slope and some suffer from being a bit boggy when it rains, we got here on a Saturday and all the best spots had gone, so we pitched on a slope, then when the tent below left, we unpegged our's and dragged it down.

We went here the other weekend. There were 12 of us in total, a camper van, a caravan and 3 tents. It's a great site within a 10 minute walk from the village centre. The site is fab, great facilities, that were modern and always clean. We got told to be quiet on the first night, which was a bit embarrassing, however it's more of a family place than a friends meeting place. Everyone seemed to be in bed for 9, whereas we has a fire going and a few drinks together, noise does travel in the great outdoors on an evening, however it does also when children wake up at 6 playing and shouting, the thing to remember is to respect each other.

Fantastic spot, walking distance to the village is an amazing feature. The facilities are wonderful - new and clean. A playground would be great plus better wifi but that's minor really.

We spent three nights at the site in July.
We booked in advance and the owner was really helpfull.
The site is lovely and clean and the toilets and showers are particularly well looked after.
There is a TV room for the kids, although they seem to use this more as a place to charge their phones and tablets and use wi-fi.
The site had a nice balance of people not to quite and not too busy.
There is a nice off road walk into Hawkshead that takes about ten minutes.
The site has a size limit on tents of 7m x 3m which some of the new large tents may exceed but i'm sure if you ask and aren't taking the mickey then they could accommodate a slightly larger tent.
All in all a lovely site and would definitely go back.

We stayed a family of 3 for 3 nights. Such a lovely peaceful campsite. Lots of families here. It's a working farm so a few animals on site out of the way. Cows, sheep and a donkey. The washrooms are clean every time I went in they were spotless. Wifi great in the tv room if needed. Hawkeshead 10 minute walk up a path from the site. Wary castle took us 1 hour 30 to walk from here. Just go out the gate from near the toilet block as it takes longer if heading to Hawkeshead path and turning up the other path as we found out.
