Nice views across to Grasmere. Very steep up but if the day is not windy nice to hang around. We took a little picnic here

We usually go up from Rydal over the shoulder of Rydal Fell and drop down to Alcock Tarn before getting coffee in Grasmere. One February we found a couple swimming, a bit too early for us, we wait unly it warms up a little in...More

A good walk for someone not experienced in fell walking, great for dogs, and amazing views from the top and a gentle walk down.
