Came down to Grassmere after hearing on the news that people thought it was shut due to the recent floods, it isn't shut !. it does need people to go there and support the people and local businesses. Beautiful place , go now while it's still quiet . People will soon realise this and before long it will be busy... More

We stopped here during our walk for tea & scones along with our Beagle. The scones were huge and really tasty - and all served on a lovely vintage tea set next to a caravan overlooking the lake. Really out of the way, and I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. What we saw of staff were all helpful. Would have loved... More

Me and my partner had the misfortune of visiting Faeryland yesterday. The owner was rude (and I can see others have said the same thing on trip advisor so I'm not a lone vouce). I asked him for a coffee and he said "What kind?" So I replied "Just a normal coffee please" to which he replied "Read that sign... More

Our first visit based on the recommendation of friends. Lovely coffee and cake. Makes a very welcome change to commercial coffee shops. Can't wait to visit again. Many thanks for a super time.

Stumbled upon Faeryland after a long walk and stopped in for water then noticed tea, drinks and other menu items and several tables in an outdoor seating area on the grass near the lake. Ended up renting a rowboat for an hour on a perfect day - it was magical! The staff was friendly and helpful with the details. A... More

Stopped at Faeryland for soup, tea and cake and couldn't wait to finish up and leave. Let's start with the owner, who was a miserable, tutting curmudgeon-like Basil Fawlty minus the humour (get the picture?). Food was so-so (only one variety) and served Luke warm. Tea was ok but the cake was unpleasant (we fed it surreptitiously to the birds).... More

We found this place as we were walking and were surprised by the lovely garden and excellent drinks. I tried the faery juice which was very refreshing and my husband had a pot of tea which was enough for two. All served in proper tea pots with a strainer and China cups. Very novel these days
