We love Herdy. Such a unique and trendy gift shop, making the most of what we think is the cutest looking sheep in the world! Liked the woolly Herdy's in the window, and the cuff links. I was also looking to see if you had a neck tie with Herdy on it, but couldn't see it. If you do, I... More

You cannot visit Grasmere and not go in the Herdy Shop. As the name suggests everything to do with Herdy Sheep. Yes it is expensive but, very different from what you will see elsewhere. Bang in the centre of Grasmere so easy to walk to and there is car parking nearby

Called in to buy the salt and pepper shakers for my parents. The products are top quality and the staff very helpful. Not the cheapest but they are well designed.

10 quid for a table mat is a bit steap and thats only one example. The stuff is good quality but not sure it holds up to the prices.

Thank you for visiting our Grasmere shop. We take on board your comment about pricing but did you know that each herdy product is uniquely designed by us and made to the highest quality by manufacturers we responsibly source. The tablemats are made in the UK from high quality melamine and whilst more expensive than foil tablemats, are heat resistant... More

I first encountered the wonderful world of Herdy at one of my local National Trust properties, many miles away from Herdy's homeland of Cumbria. I was smitten from the start, and having never visited Cumbria and the Lake District before, a few months later my husband and I set course to Grasmere for a short break. Of course the suitcases... Went To Grasmere to see how they were doing due to the A591 flood damage The Herdy shop was welcoming & helpful - the shop was immaculate &, bright ,as was the staff -who made our day -finding a genuinely happy smiling shop staff ,someone who enjoys their job, a very rare find in Grasmere in the current trading.

Found things in the shop quite expensive, wanted a keepsake & spent £11 on a Herdy Mug. Felt a bit of a mug after purchase.

Hello and thanks for calling into our herdy shop. All our herdy products are designed and created in the Lake District - the mugs you mention are fine bone china, hand-made in England in the Staffordshire potteries, so although a bit more pricey, something lovely for you to enjoy your cuppa in. Also every purchase means we put something back... More

Visited Grasmere on our way to Keswick. Once we found out the road to Keswick was closed due to the recent floods we looked no further than calling at pretty Grasmere. The heady shop is full of wonderful unusual gifts with a charming member of staff to offer help and advice. We bought a couple of mugs and now when... More

There's always something in the Herdy shop in Grasmere to cheer up the house/kitchen. Very happy with the new planter today and just need to find some herbs that will live in it on the windowsill in our kitchen without withering and dropping dead. The people who work in Herdy are also always very chatty, friendly and helpful. Baaaa !
