Garden Centre in the centre of Grasmere. We sell a variety of things from gifts, outdoor clothing, books, plants, garden furniture and foods. We also have a cafe - The Potting Shed - which serves home made cakes, scones, sandwiches, soups and a selection of light meals. You can even enjoy a local beer or two.

The garden centre is a minor player; there is both a small cafe ( tiffin looks good) and a shop selling country casual clothing and nic-nacs with a smallish garden centre attached. Azaleas grow well in this climate

My wife and I called in after a nice local walk. You can buy plants, clothes and gifts plus eat in the café. The only thing that caught my eye was a new 'Buff', which I bought. On a previous visit I had bought a...More

This beautiful little Lake District village has several restaurants and hotels, but this shop and cafe come garden centre is far from ideal. The cafe section looks poorly organised, the tea is like dish water as a previous reviewer had stated. The cakes font look...More

Much better this year - came out with a bag of shopping this time! Some items are a bit pricey, but not for the area. Lovely plants too.

We arrived thinking this was a garden centre and were looking for protective covers for garden furniture. There is a small area dedicated to decorative outdoor pots and some plants but this is predominantly a gift shop, selling odd selection of clothing, household trivia and...More

A nice central place to visit in Grasmere. A garden centre with in and outdoor displays, plus a shop with a wide range of goods, not actually garden orientated but still useful. A cafe is inclusive which has drinks through to snacks etc at reasonable...More

Beautiful food and coffee but a little frustrating waiting in a long queue to order and pay. However, when the food arrived it was good. Lovely garden centre that has lots of gifts as a reminder of the Lake District. Plenty of parking space for...More

Lovely place for coffee and snacks.... but please do something with your public toilets they are a disgrace, I complained but it fell on deaf ears !! The money they must make on food surely warrants decent loos !!
