Can not say anything but a Truly Wonderful trip! Beautifully restored! It was the second time we had been on the Steam Yacht Gondola. This time was as Brilliant as last time. We had a shorter trip as it only does the 2hour trip on...More

Our friends had never visited the Lake District so we decided to take them on a cruise on the Steam ship. Both of our friends are disabled and the crew were really helpful getting them both aboard. There are steps but our friends managed them....More

Lovely boat ride on lake Coniston. Learnt a lot about the lake and The Bluebird and its tragic end. Only thing that could have improved the voyage would have been a nice cup of tea on board!!!

We were visiting Coniston for a short while, then saw that the Gondola was about to leave. It was the full two hour trip round the lake, with the captain telling is many points of interest as we sailed. There was an offer for anyone...More

You can't come to the Lakes without having a boat trip. Fantastic trip on the steam gondola. Lake Coniston is steeped in history. From Swallows and Amazon's to Donald Campbell. To see the landmarks was very interesting. It was very cold out there today so...More

This is the "boat trip" to do in the Lake District. Coniston is beautiful and unspoilt. It has atmosphere, legend and stories that you learn on the cruise. The Gondola itself is an amazing experience, smooth, almost silent and elegant. The staff on board are...More

Owned and operated the National Trust this boat has been lovingly restored to its former glory. It is a sheer delight to travel in - the two cylinder engine is very unusual and provides plenty of power to propel the vessel almost silently through the...More

A full lake tour I believe is £20.50 per person less 10% for national trust members. Head of the lake only is £11 less the 10%. Sorry cannot help with the timing once you get off part way round. It is best to pre book.
