Booked a taster session for bouldering & main wall for myself & 2 sons (11 & 14). Instructor Matt was freindly & knowledgeable. Session was fun & challenging with a bit of friendly competition thrown in. My wife also found the cafe a great vantage point for photographs of our achievements!!! Booking is advised which is testament to the popularity... More

I trained with a gentlemen named George. He was very informative, told me stuff I was doing wrong but praised my strengths :) . Great prices, great wall, great time. Would deffinitely reccommend!

Had the all day breakfast this morning whilst taking in a glorious view from the cafe across Ambleside and to the fells. Breakfast was freshly cooked in front of us and delicious.....staff were warm and very friendly. The added view of folk ascending the climbing wall from the panoramic window was an added bonus.

The climbing wall in Ambleside is a must visit location . The wall is situated inside the outdoor retailer Adventure Peaks. We booked a session for the grand kids, usually lasts between 1.5 to 2 hrs , with our professionally trained climbing instructor Mathew. The session starts with some low key group interaction (maximum of six in ours)building up to a... More

Came here on a short break to Ambleside recently with my boyfriend. Booked an afternoon slot for an hour and half experience with Matt. Felt totally relaxed and at ease from the beginning, Matt has an excellent approach at teaching and you can tell he loves what he does. The bouldering was fun and the climbing wall itself was great.... More

Went here on a grey day and enjoyed some great bouldering and climbing. My gfriend and I are relatively new climbers and enjoyed the routes that were set. Matt the instructor was helpful when we spoke with him. The cafe and facilities are very good and clean. For a small wall its a great little place.

My 2 children (age 6&4) loved their taster session at the climbing wall! Rich was an excellent instructor, really encouraged them both and worked really hard to make sure everyone had fun and was safe during the 90minute session. Definitely worth a visit!

My 5 year old son and I had a 1.5 hour session today (cost £17 per person) and thoroughly enjoyed it. We come to Ambleside often and despite usually staying 2 minutes walk away we never once thought to visit before today. It was my wife's idea to keep our energetic 5 year old boy occupied. Our instructor, Rich (if... More
