About
We are based in a lovely 17th Century grade 2 listed building. The décor of the pub is mostly the old original features to give it that nit more of an atmosphere. We are a warm and friendly pub with a great local feel. As well as the main bar we have a little snug in the back formally known as the Tuggers Snug which is a tribute to all the men who worked on the tugboats. Free WIFI is available as well as an outside seating area which is to be taken advantage in the warm weather as we manager to have the sun in that area until around 9 PM! We serve 3 cask ales and 1 guest beer as well as a brilliant choice of draught beer, bottles and spirits. Bases on busy circuit in Hull Old Town we are also part of the Real Ale Trail.

Came across this pub today on our first drinking trip to Hull. Really cosy pub with friendly staff, so much so that I only intended to have one but ended up having three. Will definitely come back to Hull and here again. Many thanks.

Great hotel and staff, excellent.

We stayed this weekend for a last minute night out.
The room was just as expected and was lovely and warm. The bed was great with lovely clean sheets and towels in the bathroom, although, this was so large the radiator struggled.
The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. They suggested we see what was showing at the theatre across the road, we did and an evening at the ballet.
Excellent full English breakfast (the chef served crispy bacon to perfection), the table had lovely white linen and napkins.
What a find!

Shame
Jan 2019 • Friends
Women we were out with went to the toilets and looked both cubicles toilet seats were 2 inches aside of toilet. 1 was cracked. The door was closed by pushing lock across with its screw. Loads of paper on shelf .no roll holder. Mirrors in cubicle but do you really want to add lippy in there. Notice on back of sink of how wash hands.ended with turn off tap with hand towel...no hand towel. Simple things that could be sorted....boyfriend toilet same
Shame .upgrade with pennies not a major outlay .lovely pub but when nature calls so do pleasant toilets come on
Im sure you can pull it off.

The Kingston is a very good bar to visit good selection of beers and a pleasant atmosphere with lovely safe serving with a smile can get busy at times but that speaks volumes for its popularity, also outside seating on a sunny day with trinity square and hull minster to view lovely day out

Nice local boozer in a great spot

Found it whilst wandering around Hull. Great location and in a really sunny place on the afternoon we visited. Waited ages for the barmaid to make an entrance and then waited a little longer while she finished her phone call. ( customers are a pain! Lol) . But, beer was good so live and let live!

Great Place for a drink
May 2018 • Couples
We stopped here when visiting Hull Minster, a warm welcome on entry the lady at the bar could not have been more friendly and helpful, my partner had a small beer but not being a drinking man I asked for Tea, they don't sell tea but she made me a coffee not charging me as they don't sell coffee either, we sat outside in the gorgeous sunshine looking at the Minster and listening to the Bells ringing out a pleasant tune, it felt like we were on one of our frequent trips to the hotter climates of Europe enjoying the sunshine and watching the world go by, we stayed for a number of drinks and love the welcome and the ambience inside, there is a "snug" type room, airy, open and full of historic pictures relating to Hull's Maritime history. If the hotel is anywhere near as good as the bar then guests are in for a treat.

Very rude and aggressive man on the door
Dec 2017 • Friends
Me and my friends went for a drink in the Kingston pub which is a pub we often go in. But last night we had a very rude and verbally aggressive boy on the door that told us we couldn't go in because we pushed past and swore at him, neither occurred and it was indeed himself who was rude and aggressive. I asked to speak to the management and I was told there wasn't anyone and was to to fu$k off somewhere els. Totally unprovoked. 3 ladies all in late 40s out for a Christmas get together was slightly ruined by this boy ! Disgusted I have tried to call this pub and seems the number doesn't connect as I can't get through.
We had a young man behind us that also told the bouncer we hadn't done what he blamed us for but he wasn't listening.

Fantastic location & Ale
Oct 2017 • Friends
Have visited this pub a view times now, fantastic location looking out across Holy Trinity & Trinity Square. In summer it's a sun trap sitting outside and with the area mostly pedestrian, it's nice and peaceful from traffic. Not the largest pub if you are inside but usually a cracking atmosphere and can get very busy at times. No matter, the barmaids usually get to you pretty quick if it is a busy period. I like my Ale so am satisfied with the Wainwrights and Hobgoblin Gold which has been on for the last few months, plenty for the Lager drinker too. I would have to say my favourite time to visit is Saturday afternoon / early evening.
