Relaxing and well kept
Sep 2021
I used to play in this park over seven decades ago: and very little has changed! The park is spacious and well kept. The attractions have stood the test of time with just a few more kiddies play areas than I remember. Visiting in September, the flowerbeds were well past there best.

Avoid the cafe but the rest is lovely
Aug 2021 • Family
The park was amazing but avoid the pavilion cafe inside at all cost plan to eat elsewhere or take a picnic. Only the stupid or woke idiots would eat at this place and waste there money however if you miss the Jeremy Kyle show then it might be the cafe for you.

Really good day out!
Jul 2021 • Family
This place is huge, definitely a full family day out! We went on the swan boats, carousel and used the play park which the kids throughly enjoyed. We also took a picnic and there was loads of shady places to sit. The kids had an amazing time :)

Great place to go all year around
Jun 2021
Hull's biggest, and arguably best Parks. Always something to do whether its enjoy feeding the birds, going on a swan boat, letting kids & dogs play or simply having a coffee or ice-cream. The park is usually fairly busy - so peak times can cause longer queues for refreshments and the like - especially with CV19 precautions.
We took a walk up their on this occasion and enjoyed an hour two of gently strolling around grabbing a drink in between. I know that at the moment if you travel up by car on Holderness Road, you have to enter the car park by going through Woodford Leisure Centre car park - whilst sign-posted can be easily missed. Also, the car park is possibly a bit small at peak times considering how popular the park is - so probably best to walk there if you can [and get some more exercise in!].

Nice park - shame about the café
May 2021 • Couples
It's a park. Reasonably well kept. Clean. Lots of space. Lake. Lawns. Everything you'd expect. Café is open again post lockdown. But oh dear the service is slow! How long does it take to rustle up a sausage sandwich and some chips? Shouldn't be nearly an hour. In the end we cancelled the order because nobody even remembered us making it!

Not to mention the fact that they wanted to carry our payment card away to make a contactless payment out the back.

Fantastic park.

Fantastic park! The childrens play area is amazing. The walks around are beautiful. Only disappointment was the animal part was closed when we went on a Wednesday but we were still able to walk round and spot a few!
So surprised it's free to park car and walk round. We said we would happily have paid to park there. Clean and tidy place with toilets definitely a bonus. Would definitely go back if we visit the area again.

Fantastic space - don’t miss the Mick Ronson tribute
Oct 2020 • Couples
We thoroughly enjoyed our walk around the park spending about 90mins walking around the lake and gardens. Good car park, though I imagine it can get quite busy. This is a beautiful park that was mainly well tended to especially given its size. Nice selection of trees. I most enjoyed the Mick Ronson garden with its splendid statue. With the COVID-19 situation not everything was open. The playgrounds look fun. Looking forward to meeting up with the grandchildren - I’m sure they’ll love it.

Negatives , could do with the kids paddling pool opening or at least started to get it ready no sign of it yet, and the cafe has gone down hill used to be the best ice cream but!!!!
