Welcome to The Bedford, the heart and soul of Royal Tunbridge Wells! We're thrilled to be the original, traditional alehouse that embraces our customers, cherishes our staff, and celebrates the vibrant spirit of this town we call home. Prepare yourself for a remarkable drink experience as we proudly serve seven cask ales and ciders on our pumps, along with a selection of eleven keg lines that include premium lagers, ciders, and, of course, Guinness (a special treat for our Rugby enthusiasts)! But that's not all! Our bar is a treasure trove of delightful spirits and wines. Indulge in the finest gins, carefully curated from popular and delicious varieties the market offers. A great little pub to grab a pint and watch the football. The bar staff are friendly, they have a good selection of ales and a positive atmosphere.
Highly recommend coming down on a Tuesday night to join in the friendly poker game.....I will be the ine with all the chips :)

Was in the Bedford last night to watch the England v Scotland game. As usual the atmosphere in the pub was great and the bar staff were fantastic. We never had to wait to be served and the staff always had a smile on there faces even though the pub was packed. Only thing that let the evening done was the dreadful England display. Well done to the Bedford team

Was drenched from storms whilst riding from London. Accommodated us although soaking wet and wanted to leave bikes indoors. Great beer, fantastic food. Most of all, a fun team with exceptional customer service.

We have lived in Tunbridge Wells for 4 years now but had never tried The Bedford - well we tried it and what a night we had.
Great Beer and a warm welcome and so friendly - the lady behind the bar was probably the best I've ever seen - so professional and attentive - she was an absolute star

Great pub since the re-fit a couple of years ago. Offers the best real ale in the southeast in my opinion. The staff are all friendly. Very unusual to find a station pub that is friendly and serves great beer. Well done

Great staff and choice of local beers. I use this pub quite often and would recommend it to anyone. Try and go there when they have live music very entertaining

popped into this pub and was pleasantly surprised. Good choice of real ales which are kept well. clean bar and good central location.

If you happen to find yourself in Tunbridge Wells and are in need of a pub, the Bedford is a great choice. Convivial, lovely bar staff and a great range of beer. Also right by the railway station with a helpful screen with train times. We like.
