I bought a ticket for a train ride. I received a train ride. Therefore the Spa Valley Railway met all its contractual obligations.

The volunteers really care about this Railway. They are helpful and smart and the carriage we travelled in was clean and comfortable. But if you are bringing a group- there were 44 of us- you should know that it is very hard to contact staff....More

This attraction is really a 4-5 but severely lets people down. The volunteers do very well, the uniforms are period and the trains and rolling stock are very well maintained and really clean and tidy. The stations are kept as period stations and have services,...More

A large group had been promised a scheduled steam ride from Eridge to TW and booked months ago. On the day the steam is unavailable and a diesel slotted in. Very boring ride and not worth it. Group should have been notified in advance about...More

We're sorry that you weren't able to enjoy a steam engine on the day of your visit. This was due to a shortage of volunteers, something the heritage railway industry relies heavily upon. On the day of your visit there was not a fireman available...More

Well another heritage railway has been irked off, what I love about these visits is that every railway is different. I arrived at Eridge, where on the other platform Southern Rail have a regular service to Uckfield and London. The Spa Valley Railway is a...More

Enjoyable trip in the sun between Tunbridge Wells West and Eridge. An 1895 steam engine hauled the train one way, and a 1961 diesel hauled it back. Guard was friendly and helpful.
