Family outing to this lovely railway on a pre Christmas Santa Special. Great location, friendly helpful staff, the train was beautifully decorated, the afternoon tea was a delight, beautifully presented in wicker baskets, endless cups of great tea to drink. Wonderful train with steam and diesel engines. Fantastic afternoon out on a lovely restored nostalgic railway, Fully Recommend and will... More

As a family we enjoy events on well run preserved railways. Unfortunately the Spa Valley Railway where we went for a Mince Pie Special on 27th December turned out a great disappointment. It was a cold day, the carriages were sitting in the platform, a steam locomotive - named Ugly appropriately for our experience! - was ready but nobody had... More

Dear 6026, Thank you for coming to visit us, and for your feedback. Whilst it is always disheartening to see the efforts of a voluntary operation disparaged, you have some valid points which I hope I can address: The root of the problem on the day of your visit was two-fold. Firstly, to accommodate the demand for seats on our... More

The station at Eridge was very busy when we arrived but there were lots of staff on hand to point us in the right direction. A lovely countryside journey while being visited by Santa, a balloon modeller, a snack trolley and then a face... More

My husband and I took our son for his pre birthday treat and apart from the terrible drivers and road closed en route which was hugely stressful, the actual experience was good. Our boy LOVES steam trains so was very excited and he got a sneak peek of Santa as he gave out a gift for each child, then he... More

Dear Carole, I'm so sorry - this was so far short of the standards we set ourselves, and we let you and ourselves down very badly. I can only offer our profuse apologies. If we choose to offer a commercial product like we do, we have to maintain a level of service and quality, and this we have singularly failed... More
