We visited on a day when Peppa Pig was at Eridge and was scheduled at 10.10 but left 10.35, the train kept stopping all the way down the line. When at Eridge the station had no coffee and no milk. It was all a shambles which is a shame. I understand it is run by volunteers but it still cost... More

Have been a couple times now, on a DMU day and a steam day. Its very quirky and a must do for any rail enthusiast. Also a lot of good places to sample the local food at each stop, with the huntsman at eridge which is a lovely country pub, the junction at groombridge, with surprisingly good asian food in... More

Hello. Well worth a visit and money for a good cause. Our son loves anything trains. We had a trip out to Erridge by diesel and steam back to Tunbridge Wells. It took about 1 hour in total. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable - and all volunteers. Well done! The only thing I would say is that it can... More

Lovely views. We got off at High Rocks and had a nice lunch in the hotel there then got the next train back to Royal Tunbridge Wells. A good day out for all ages!

Visited the Spa Valley Railway in August as a double Wedding Anniversary occasion. As my Dad loves his Steam trains I thought it would be a good idea to book a Dining Experience to celebrate both our wedding Anniversary's. On arriving at the very quaint station it was like walking back in time. Sitting at the platform was the Steam... More

I went from Groombridge to Tunbridge Wells (about 5 miles) and it is superb, wooded scenery, typical of the Weald. (being from nearby Rusthall, I know the area well). Only £5, as well, which I thought was good value. But, it's a shame about what happened to the original Groombridge station, now a windy track around some modern houses built... More

A lovely little trip on a pretty line, good opportunity to see the High Rocks and the carriages were clean and cheery thanks to the hard working staff.

Dear Julie, I have to say your review leaves me struggling for diplomatic words and trying not to channel Basil Fawlty - but I'll give it a go. Trip Advisor is a great facility for people to post honest and objective feedback. Unfortunately it is also open to misuse, and in the main we have to rely on the good... More

A lovely ride through the picturesque South Downs on a beautifully restored old steam train & back on a lovely old Diesel engine. The interior of the "Bar car" is gorgeous & yes, still sells a lovely pint of cider (bottles but quality bottles). The museum was closed by time we returned so can't comment on that but the staff...
