Good collection of tech nostalgia
Sep 2020
Well preserved collection of bygone tech, kept in good working order. They have also done the responsible thing during covid and thought of staff / safety over bringing money in (my last visit was in summer 2019).

A pure joy

My husband (a computer games enthusiast) was very excited to find a leaflet for the Micro Museum in our Air bnb in Broadstairs. Trudging through the rain along the cliff tops, we hoped that the museum would at least provide solace and refuge from this wet, grey Monday. What a delight to walk in and be greeted by Carol- offering us a quiz and the promise of a certificate- and Mike, closely a computer connoisseur, ready to show us consoles throughout the ages and allow us our pick at the rows of retro games from across the decades. We raced, Ponged, fought and quizzed our way around happily for an hour, agreeing that there should be more places like this in the world. First class.

What a fantastic hands on museum. From the moment we arrived we were entertained with plenty of gaming, informative displays and friendly and knowledgeable owners/staff. This museum defines the interactive experience and the staff go the extra mile to ensure everything is working and ready for you to play.
A perfect place for a 12 year old and his ‘nostalgic for the 80s/90s’ mum to spend quality time together.

Hidden gem of nostalgia

This museum is only open weekends from 1-4pm and not all year long so check the website before visiting.
We spent a couple of fun hours reading through the history of computing and gaming and playing a variety of games from the past.
Well worth a visit - really friendly staff and very knowledgeable too!

We went for a family trip (2 adults 2 children) and easily spent almost 3 hours here (they closed at the end of our time there) i even got a certificate for my knowledge in their free quiz. Such a friendly bunch that own/operate it.

Awesome trip down memory lane!

For anyone who grew up in the 80‘s and 90‘s, this place is absolute heaven! Numerous display cases had nearly every computer or console I grew up with, from the Orics, through to the Amstrad, Amiga 1200, Sega Master System and Mega Drive. It also has old handheld game systems like Tomytronic 3D, and i‘d forgotten how good they were. Huge amount of information on display covering the history of computers, and of course there’s the opportunity to play all the old games. Owners were really friendly and great to chat with. This place is an absolute gem, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Took my 9yr old Son to the Micro Museum back in July and we have returned there regularly since.
Very accommodating and friendly. I wasn't sure if my Son would be interested in the older games but was blown away by how interested he became in the retro stuff. Great value for money and highly recommended.

We were very warmly welcomed to the museum. It's big on the nostalgia factor - expect to hear yourself say "Oh I had one of those!" at least once.
