44 ciders: heaven on earth
We didn't eat (you have to order in advance) but I have never experienced a better choice of ciders. We tried Rhubarb and also Cherry. What a treat! Most ciders are 5.5 - 6.5 % proof and there are plenty of more traditional ones such as the superb Old Rosie from Herefordshire. There were also 3 real ales on tap. The pub has a unique atmosphere, with games a plenty and very relaxed seating. I want to return to stay and try the food. The themed rooms sound interesting and the landlady was very helpful re dinner recommendations

Amazing atmosphere, delicious drinks, board games and a canine friend
Jul 2016 • Friends
I've been to this pub a few times now and have had a great time on each of those visits! The landlady is very friendly and interesting, as well as the locals. I've found myself leaving the pub saying goodbye to everyone, the place just fosters a cheerful attitude. There are plenty of board games in the corner to pick from, and coincidentally, this is where I learnt to play chess for the first time! There are also colouring books for the kids. There's a wide range of interesting ciders and ales, my favourite being a very sweet cider (which I can never remember the name of, something like "melguin"?). Last but not least, the little dog, Shnoodle, who greets everyone as they come in, he's an excellent host!

Friendly atmosphere and a good variety of ales
Jul 2016 • Friends
I eventually got round to trying this place. There is a good variety of ales and ciders ranging from 4% up to 8%. The pub had a friendly atmosphere and had a range of different games dotted about. Will definitely have to try this place again.

Intresting theme pub
Dec 2015 • Couples
If you are looking for a nice pub that is not like the run of the mill pubs, this will be just right for you, with real ale and ciders you can relax.

Some nights they have entertainment too that is well worth a night out.

Unusual but thoroughly friendly and also this is a real pub
Visited on a Sunday night. Scheherazad and John were the perfect hosts. Several real ales an over 20 ciders. We took our dog with us and they made a total fuss of her. She really enjoyed it. We had a brief tour of the pub and their living accommodation. Scheherazad is truly talented making dresses and other clothing. her paintings are amazing. She is into lots of things spiritual, and explained all the paintings and pictures on the walls. Cider was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I rate this pub as a 5* for sheer hospitality and quality. Thank you both for an experience never to be forgotten. We loved it..

Very quirky
This place has been on my list of places to go for a while now. Went there Easter Sunday and found it to be very welcoming and a nice atmosphere. Good quality ales and ciders. Also very dog friendly. So much so this is now going to be included on the Galvers Thanet Micropub Tours. Highly recommended if you like something a bit different.
