Popped in with a few friends on a Tuesday early evening. Welcome was warm, comfortable seating and nice design. The only real ale available seemed to be John Smiths, I think. There may have been Guinness as well. Cash only! The pub has lots of characters of a certain ilk and that won’t be to everyone’s liking. It is perfect for many people but other pubs do it better for me. Perhaps that is because I prefer ale to lager.

The York Arms is full of Thanet's great characters and is a must see for anyone on the area. A vast array of drinks available with lagers, real ales and a decent top shelf. Always a good atmosphere and friendly people. Also has a great football team worth meeting if you're about on a Sunday.

The title says it all. My partner and I were having a wander on the way back to our b & b and we passed this pub and decided to stop for a wee and a quick pint. The place is marvellous, we stepped in the snug area and were greeted immediately. We ended up having four pints! The landlord is amazing, entertaining and amusing. Definitely worth a visit.
