Tranquil reserve with obliging staff and lots to see and do. Several species of birds, lovely museum and nice tea and coffee bar. Places like this need support from everyone to keep nature there for the kids. £10 for us both to visit (£5 each)...More

At this time of year this is a beautiful place to pass an hour or two. There are a selection of trails that criss-cross the former chalk quarry. The grand kids love the fairy trail. If the weather is bad there is a good library...More

This is a little gem of a nature reserve. I have been here a few times and my grandchildren loved the fairy houses and the dinosaur trail. There is also a very interesting museum and a huge library and we also really enjoyed the moth...More

this place is an old quarry site, and has attracted lots of wildlife since. enjoy going for a lovely albeit noisy walk here as it’s near busy carriageways. the kids like following the trails and spotting the different creatures. nice place to take a picnic...More

We were blessed to have the whole place to ourselves as it forecasted rain, even if it never came! The nature was really relaxing and the kids absolutely adored the fairy houses' trail: such a good family outing!

Really friendly and helpful staff. The yearly pass is really cheap. Good if your children are at walking age and above. Don't take a pram! Lots of steps and hills but fantastic for burning off the energy of little ones! Great views at the top...More
