A really interesting little Maritime Museum, with some really interesting displays. If you’re interested in the Titanic, there’s a lot of info about Charles Lightoller, the senior surviving officer from the Titanic, who also piloted the Little Ship “Sundowner” to Dunkirk and rescued 130 soldiers....More

I was pleased that as I am visually impaired they allowed me in without charge. The lady at the desk was very friendly and knowledgeable, and had a good chat about Smack’s. Family loved it. Well worth a visit.

A shame that such a Museum looks like a lost place. Sign saying open Friday-Sunday, but looking through dirt-blinded windows tells a different story... Nice harbour, though.

This was a really lovely little museum. Sadly we tried to visit today only to find that it has closed down. Apparently due to lack of funding, like everything else in Ramsgate. The website still shows it as open, which is misleading.

Nothing on the door but asked at Visitor Information Centre. It seems this is closed because the main carer is ill and getting the building up to scratch is more than can be funded. Hope they can get some funds before the celebrations in 2021

The Ramsgate Maritime Museum is an excellent place to learn about Ramsgate maritime history. There are many displays and ship memorabilia on two levels. The fee to get in is minimal, and is well worth it to see everything. They also have a gift shop...More

I think some people are visiting different places than me. LOL. I loved it in here. For £2.50 I think there is a lot of history in here. I would really recommend this little museum if you are in the area.
