    Lovely area, much improved.
Our first time back for over 30 years and what a change! It was lovely, beautifully developed with great bars and restaurants around the marina. A great place to visit, lovely views, good atmosphere, a very special ship docked, good to stroll around. Great to see such an upgrade.

    Some interesting ships but windy
We wandered around the harbour from the south to the north. At the southern end there are some interesting cafes under the arches. The harbour itself is bleak and it was very windy. We did spot one or two interesting ships - a Royal Navy ship and pilot boats plus an old steamer.

    MARVELOUS HARBOUR
It was a beautiful sunny day when we visited Ramsgate. We were able to walk fully around both arms of the harbour and look at the many yachts, fishing boats, Border Force vessels and windfarm craft. Many harbours are closed to the public but rRamsgate seemed to be very open and to have few restrictions.

This place is lovely to have a wander around even in the inclement weather that we experienced with lots of boats to admire. There are shops and bars lining the harbourside so plenty of space for a sit down and a drink or food whilst watching the world go by. Several car parks in the vicinity.

The harbour is pretty and there is a beautiful big old seagoing Tug that dates back to the 1950s under restoration there.
We went on a hot day and there were A LOT of drunk people around swearing and generally making u feel not that comfortable.
Maybe it was because of the nice weather but it didn’t encourage me to stay there that long.
It’s quite interesting to walk around lots of boats but I didn’t really feel I wanted to go back.

Beautiful marina which you can do a circular walk around by going over the bridge when it's not open for yachts coming and going. Also lovely to look at while sitting and having a drink or meal. Restaurant and cafe owners are dog friendly and provide water for dogs. Can't beat it in summer and at Christmas the yachts are light up with Christmas lights!

Found out the Medway Queen Paddle Ship had arrived near bye and was due in a few days to be moved on to the grade one listed slipway for repair. Should look very impressive looming over the yard. Also noticed that a selection of border patrol boats moored in the outer harbour. Inner area quite busy.

Having been to the Ramsgate Tunnels we decided to have a wander around Ramsgate marina. There were lots of restaurants, coffee shops and pubs all around in arches overlooking the main marina. There were lots of interesting boats, both old and new some of the older ones having interesting writeup displayed on the quay side.

Harbour and marina, packed with craft of all sizes, this is the only "Royal"harbour in Britain,a title bestowed upon it by King George IV.
A harbour backed by the township and its many, shops and bars,it has plenty of seating around it whilst admiring the comings and goings of the boats.
Pleasure trips by boat are also available to book.

Lovely walk admiring the yachts and watching them sail in and out of the harbour. The arches alongside have some quirky little shops and places to eat. Would highly recommend the Greek Arch. Great food and child friendly.

Just had a couple of days in Ramsgate and stayed at the Travel Lodge on the Harbour.
It was excellent value and in a superb location directly opposite the Harbour and Marina.
The room was basic but an excellent choice for our trip.
Very clean and well run hotel.
The staff were absolutely excellent and helpful.
Breakfast also very good.
If you are looking for a base in Ramsgate look no further .... it's perfect.

A joyous stroll around the historic harbour.
The sun shone on the expensive yachts/boats, the air was fresh and the sun was delightful.
Down at the waters edge we stopped for a beautiful Chardonnay and Moretti beer in the delightful and very friendly Arches bar.
A friendly welcome and humorous banter, a great place for a drink.
