I actually was here in the evening watching a film! Never done it before, it was for Ramsgate Week but impressed with how clean it was. This area is close to cafes and all amenities for families to enjoy in day time in the sunshine. If not so sunny it is close to Ramsgate Harbour & the Ramsgate Tunnels, good... More

I was surprised to see how big this beach was when the tide was out , even when the water is in ,there is still enough depth to be able to walk out a far way before you got to neck height. Beach was fairly clean , I've seen allot worse . Plenty of sea side shops ,cafe's , pubs.... More

Th Esplanade is undergoing restoration but affords a great walk along the sea front with steps down to a beautiful sandy beach.

We had a lovely long walk along the clean, sandy beach mid week in mid July and went for a paddle on a windy day but very few amenities for such a big beach. It all looks very run down with graffiti in places. So disappointing for somewhere which could look so beautiful. There seem to be no toilet facilities... More

The beach at Ramsgate is very long and there is plenty of space for everyone. The area away from the town (Ramsgate Tunnels and beyond) tends to be less busy.

We always have fun @ Ramsgate. Great mainly sand beach with shops, food and toilets nearby. After playing in the sand and water it's great to grab a "99" (ice cream cone and a flake) at the concession stand and go play in the amusement parlor. If you want to learn some history you can go to the Ramsgate Tunnels.... More

Clean and large sandy beach. A multi storey car park nearby a bit smelly - £4.50 all day.Plenty of public toilets. Half built construction behind hoardings. Closed pavilion with graffiti.

Sandy beaches are not my thing as I have got older but after walking along the front looking at the diverse architectural styles of buildings and the lovely harbour I walked back along the Sands a large sandy beach very clean it's easy to see it would be very popular with young families and there is a separate area for...
