Bike Ride Coffee & Cakes
Aug 2017 • Friends
. I no longer own a bike & was invited for a clifftop bike ride by a friend.
I was delighted to discover Spencer Square does lots more than court Hire & coffee!!!!
The delightful owner Caroline quickly got me a bike, got the seat adjusted for me & i was riding along the clifftop enjoying the summer breeze in no time!

The Hut is part of Motivat8, a Tesco afffiliated scheme to get people to enjoy exercise in the community. Bikes are loaned free of charge to residents and at a small charge to visitors to enjoy.

This was without a doubt, the highlight of my day. A liberating & joyful experience it riding along with friends. To top it all, a most welcome cup of good fresly brewed coffee & home baked cakes & pastries while sitting outside the hut and enjoying some great conversation..This is a great indoor and outdoor , all weather venue. There are half a dozen tables inside the hut so you can enjoy your cakes or some homemade food( iwas told Caroline makes a wicked Prawn Stir Fry) and then have a bit of a relax on the sofa.. The Shop has some lovely cards and staionery and also some unusual Tea Towels and cushions made by local artists.

It is definitely worth swinging by and checking this place out. It's great!

I also discovered Caroline also has the only outdoor Pickle Ball Courts in the Country!!!! This new game is great fun & suitable for all ages.Coaching is available if you wish to polish your game!!!

This charming, dog-friendly and people friendly place run by Caroline has enhanced my enjoyment of Spencer Square. In the summer it is great to watch people enjoying a game of tennis or Pickle Ball whilst reading the paper or indulging in a freshly made stir-fry.
It is a place that welcomes all kinds of people from the elderly to the very young and offers affordable courts to play for all.

A little gem , easily passed by.
May 2016 • Family
While visiting the large Georgian area known as Spencer square with its beautiful architecture and many blue plaques of historical interest do not just pass by the gardens and tennis courts thinking that is all there is.

In the centre there is a chalet with many facilties, Not only a place to book a game of Tennis,Table tennis and Padel tennis on newly marked courts.

The courts and Pavilion are run very efficiently by Caroline who keeps everything in tip top condition. Everyone is welcome and playing Tennis is not compulsory.
There is a large range of drinks including Tea Coffee and juices. A very good range of ice cream is stocked made by Solleys of Deal.

Caroline will cook you an all day breakfast, prepare a fresh salad or the very latest in stir fry japanese dishes.

This is a place not to be missed, seating is inside or out with shelter from sun and rain. The area around has many interesting flowers and schrubs which make for an enjoyable walk or a lazy relax on one of the many benches.

This is a place not to be missed and to be visited regularly if you are a resident or a tourist.

Tennis and treats
May 2016 • Friends
Go for the tennis, stay for the treats!
Excellent playing surface. Plenty of equipment to hire, also table tennis, and board games for a rainy afternoon.
Relax after a game with a coffee and delicious slice of homemade cake, panini or ice cream, served by friendly and helpful staff in beautiful surroundings.
Group sessions and coaching are also available.
This is now a regular fixture on my calendar.
