I think this might be est viewed from the water. As you walk along the rolling green hills there are only a couple of spots where you can glimpse the white cliffs. Outside of the 'park' you can see the white cliffs from the waterfront near the port of dover, but this is not like the pictures that are shown... More

Iconic, beautifully maintained, breath-taking views. Safe paths for children and animals, however can get closer to the edge of the cliffs if one is brave enough and don't mind heights. Lots of parking and footpaths to other locations nearby. A great day out, especially with children, take a picnic

You can't go to Dover and not see the White Cliffs. Our recommendation is to take a taxi up to the area where you can view them by walking, vs. the boat tour in the harbor.

Who hasn't heard of the "white cliffs of Dover"? I am only sorry to have seen them from the ferry as we crossed the English Channel to France, but thinking back to what it must have been like during WW2 was a powerful moment. On my next visit, I plan to hike them.

I was there on June, the weather was cloudy but warm. The views are really nice but the most important is that it is really quiet. I felt really calm those hours I spent there and it was a great change from busy London.

Its always nice when returning from France on a sunny day to see the cliffs from the sea, its a pity that there is so much of them falling away. Everytime we return we notice there are new falls nothing big but just enough to see how bad the erosion is.

Beautiful grounds, trails; both high and low. Fee to drive into White cliffs 3.5 pounds, per car. There is a restaurant and parking. You could spend hours walking the trails, views of water, castle and lighthouse.

As a couple we travelled quite some way to see this Landmark. I have always had a perception of a huge overwhelming, overpowering, british landmark, needless to say it wasn't really impressive and quite disappointing in fact. The bay shelter was closed, which would have been nice to see, a bit of history. We left a bit underwhelmed and a... More

Really nice to see . Relaxing walk with nice view . Behind the light house if you carry on you can reach beach we tween the cliffs with nice restaurant to chill or swim if it's nice weather. If you near Dover you should visit . Take water with you on a hot day . Plenty of water !!

We live locally and had never got round to walking along the cliffs, what have we missed!! This is an amazing place to walk along for everyone (difficult if you have mobility problems). Great views, a café nearby in the visitor centre, toilets and Fan Bay Deep Shelter
