This is an amazing walk with great views over the huge cliffs. Depending on how much you stop and your pace, it will take between 1 to 3 hours to reach the lighthouse and enjoy a nice tea in a cute cottage. Beware of your children because they tend to approach the cliffs with no fear and it can be... More

Visited the White Cliffs on probably the hottest day of the year. It's such a lovely walk and we took a well needed break at South Foreland lighthouse. There are two paths and I would suggest that the path nearer the cliff edge is a slightly harder walk. There is very little shade when walking and the path could be... More

Went here on a stunning summers day. The cliffs are spectacular. The National Trust set up here is superb. The cafe is wonderful light and airy.

On a clear day you can see across to Calais. You can watch the ferries in and out of the world's busiest ferry port and often see the huge cruise liners which also use Dover. The White Cliffs are ideal for long walks and there is an excellent café with home made cakes, scones and serving a selection of hot... More

Very interesting and historic site. You have to be prepared for quite a walk to get the best views of the actual white cliffs but the other scenery is also well worth a visit. The cliffs overlook Dover port and this itself makes interesting viewing if you wanted to sit and rest a while. Nice little tea room by reception... More
