Raining hard and the walk was all the better for it. Went off piste with my daughter and the dog which added to the adventure climbing and slipping up the slopes ( long way from the edge of course 😊) Cafe was shut at the far end which meant a well appreciated cuppa back t the car park. Definitely wear... More

This is not only the gateway to Britain from the Continent, but also a fantastic landmark. The emotional value for all Brits is enormous, and the cliffs of Dover are a must see for the visiting tourist from the continent. Shame that the Fly-In tourists do not get to see them, but a Day Trip to France offers a great... More

Visitors must take a walk along the beach or cliffs. We visit every summer and the view of the cliffs with the afternoon sum glimmering off the white chalk is breathtaking. Visitors center is great place for snack before or after walk with great views of channel.

Just done this in a very wintery January. Consequently we had it pretty much to ourselves. We were wrapped up warmly and the views were perhaps even more spectacular than in summer. You can tailor your walk to suit your ability and fitness and if you want to avoid all the steps and hill climbs, you can park at the... More

A must see in the UK! The ferry crossing view is amazing and will stay in sight for miles and miles. Walking the trails atop the cliffs offered more great views. However, avoid holidays if you're looking for peace and tranquility... and it was very crowded when we visited on new year weekend. Also stop and visit the gorgeous historic... More

Nature at it's finest. Unspoiled by cement walkways and railings. We stayed in London and took a day trip by train to Dover. We saw the castle first and almost missed the cliffs as the sun was setting. But we hurried along and the joy on our kids face when we reached the top made the rushing all the worth... More

Nice place, very nice surrounding. Easy to reach by car and great view. But a lot of walking track was not well maintained so it's only recommendable with the right footwear. Nevertheless enjoyed the visit.

A great walk if you are able to walk. Free. Be organised though. Proper, water proof shoes and warm walking clothes are a must.

Visited on a sunny day in Jan. Disappointed in the National Trust. A lot of the walking track was poorly maintained - an absolute boggy quagmire to walk on (I witnessed one elderly person slip over and hurt herself).

Stunning although chilly day to be out. Walked a distance but unfortunately paths were very muddy and slippery so we were unable to go the distance to the lighthouse which was disappointing. Such a wonderful area to walk. Just had glimpses of white cliffs. Lunch at the tearoom at car park was super. Sat outside enjoying the sunshine and view... More
