I visited the dockyard because I love call the midwife and heard that some scenes were filmed there. There were no signs or information. I walked around and eventually came across a picture of 3 midwives where if you were so inclined you could stick your head through for a photo shoot. The food was basic and over priced. The... More

I visited Chatham historic dockyard on a rainy February Saturday this last weekend, I got there at half eleven and was ushered politely out the gate at closing time, there is just so much to see! The Ropery was very good, with "Mr Steel" the Victorian foreman showing us some of the uses for rope on sailing warships and taking... More

We are a family of five and could not be more pleased with what a great day we enjoyed. The exhibits were interesting and varied but it was the friendly and knowledgeable staff and guides that really made the day. Our seven year old daughter and six year old twin boys loved the interactive science session; were fascinated by Vicky's... More

First visit and definitely not the last. Steeped in history with so much to do. You get access for 12 months with your ticket. With three historic warships, RNLI historic lifeboat collection and a handful of other buildings to visit packed with interesting history there's enough to keep you entertained for the whole day. A unique experience with a vast array of historical pieces to look at. There is a strong nautical theme reflecting how the dockyard was used over the centuries. I found it fascinating & worth seeing again.

Interesting and thought provoking especially the lifeboat museum and the ropr tour.ost accessible for all visitors. Catering choices for all budgets and an annual pass is worth paying for. Near to Rochester and the Dickens' World attraction which is brilliant for families.

It was an 'Ok' experience. Never been inside a submarine before. That was quite informative. The staff - friendly and helpful The prices are a rip off.
