A great place to see a Film in Canterbury
Nov 2021
Yesterday in the mid-afternoon my wife and I (members of Curzon) saw a very good film "Spencer" from 3 pm and before had an americano coffee. It was a very relaxed and an enjoyable experience. Screen 1 was intimate but only had a dozen customers so all very distanced! I do recommend coming to this Cinema.

Need to turn up the volume

Went here for the first time to see James Bond and at times could barely hear the dialogue in the film, never been to such a quiet cinema and wouldn’t return because of this. Every time somebody left the screen the door would bang during the film. Was disappointed

Good cinema - Except The Toilet
May 2021 • Couples
Watched A Quiet Place Part II with my wife yesterday and it was great overall experience. The one thing I would say needs reconsideration from the cinema management is the toilet situation. Why would you make two separate toilets as Unisex if you can make one for female and the second for male? It was not pleasant experience to confront with opposite sex in the in the same toilet, whilst, you can comfortably separate them.

Fantastic Cinema Experience
Feb 2020
Really intimate, relaxing place to enjoy the cinema experience, would 100% go again. Very reasonable prices too compared to more commercial cinemas.

A perfect place to enjoy the cinema experience.

What a fantastic cinema experience. It has a wonderful atmosphere inside, with a warm welcome and great refreshments. Everything was just that little bit different, which we really liked.
The seating was both stylish and comfortable, screen size was perfect and a nice touch was the music from the film playing in the background, prior to the film starting.
The film choice was a new release, which has not been easy to find lately. A delightful and entertaining Italian version of Pinocchio, cleverly retold with a dark twist.
The social distancing was well observed and not intrusive on our enjoyment of our cinema experience.
Luckily we will be visiting Canterbury quite a bit over the next few years and this will be a must for our itinerary.
Thank you for a very special evening.

Not the best of cinemas and expensive
Mar 2020 • Couples
Went to see a film here today. Booked in advance and at £14 each I was expecting it to be good.

As we went in we could see the small auditorium and the small screen. Was expecting better to be honest.

The seats were also a disappointment. They recline but manual by just pushing yourself backwards. The trouble was this was too easy to do by accident went sitting back...so you had to sit up dead straight to avoid the seat falling backwards. The recline mechanism was also extremely squeaky which was annoying.

The seats themselves were not that comfortable and the material was quite worn and dirty.

The film itself was good but if I'm being honest, for the money there a lot better cinemas to choose from.

1917

Came to this cinema to see 1917. Such a warm and cosy feel when you walk in. Screen 3 seating ( we sat at the back in a 2 seater). Most comfortable for the 2 hours we were there. Good experience.
