Great value, delicious food and speedy, friendly service.
We sat in a pleasant, covered courtyard to eat. There was plenty of choice for my vegetarian daughter and the food arrived quickly and was very good value.

Amazing atmosphere

This pub was absolutely amazing! The manager (Steve) and assistant manager (Megan) we’re just stars. We went on Thursday night as it was my mates birthday. They let us bring in a cake, Megan lit the candles and brought it out for the birthday girl.

Thank you for making it a good night!

Friendly staff and an amazing burger!

Came here to watch the England match on Sunday. Fantastic service on a busy day; always observing Covid protocols. Felt welcomed, safe and looked after! Staff constantly sanitizing hands and making sure everybody signed in properly and stayed seated.
Credit to the manager and his friendly staff for rushing around all day. The food was delicious too - had a burger and loaded fries which was really good quality and generous portions.
Plenty of screens to watch the match - good place for football, great selection of drinks. I will be back ASAP!

Love this pub
Sep 2020
A very typical British pub with a compact pleasant garden. Very quaint inside with a pleasant little garden.
Good selection of typical pub food. Staff very friendly. In the centre of town.

This is an excellent pub to go to to watch sport as it has good beer and an excellent atmosphere.
The staff behind the bar are amazing and really look after everyone and keep everyone safe.
Highly recommend.

Great pub, friendly staff and management. We had a mini family celebration to celebrate our wedding day. Everything was more than perfect, despite the restrictions due to covid 19. The food was delicious, and everyone tried to make our day special. Thank you all!

Great beer and friendly staff behind bar but food was mediocre . Sweet potato fries were ok but it great, husbands cheese ploughman’s sandwich was average without much cheese and very dull bread. Loos were very clean though.

We had four in our party all Camra members including a master cellar person. We ordered a Bishops finger and two pints of spitfire. We were given Spitfire Lager ! When this was pointed out that Spitfire Lager had not been ordered this was changed to Spitfire Gold ... We had requested Spitfire the original ale , released for the 50th anniversary of the battle of Britain. The reply was that , that was the normal one , that people drank in this particular establishment. Sorry but if We had wanted Spitfire Gold or indeed Lager , that is what we would have requested. This was our second visit , on our last visit , some tome ago, there was a smell of excrement at the far end of the pub , which we had pointed out as we left. The reply had been oh not again!!

Bit of a disappointment, plenty of other pubs to go too.
We visited Bishop's Finger on a Monday afternoon. Judging by the pictures on the Trip Advisor page, you'll notice that they are mostly either a) close up shots of ales or b) outside area.
I realise now why this is, and it's because inside is a bit grim. The weather was lousy but as soon as entering Bishop's Finger we were greeted by tables and chairs piled high. I know the weather was bad, but couldn't they have been put somewhere else? First impressions count and I hope they take this on board. Like another review has said, it isn't that welcoming really. We had loads of fun on a quiz machine which was pretty old (you never see them in pubs anymore!) however we had our drinks and decided to go and visit some better establishments in Canterbury.

Good place to watch sports on TV and good beer
Large and busy pub with big screens for TV sport. Popular with all kinds of people, many students in when I was there. Beer is from the Shepherd Neame brewery at Faversham. Outside seating for smokers.
