Since the renovation of toddlers cove, the play area is great for children. There are lots of different climbing frames etc and an outdoor gym. The toilets are well kept and the area always tends to be clean. Only drawbacks are the slight shortage of things for under 3's. Perhaps two more swings would be good. Also you have to... More

My son loves this place.....Plenty to do on the park apparatus, area to play ball games and have picnics. Usually ice cream van and burger van parked up. And I may be wrong but there may be a seasonal cafe...? Also has accessible WC... River Stour runs along the park and is located next door to Westgate Gardens and the... More

This is an absolute must if you have young children. They will be occupied for hours and there is food and coffee available for the adults.

Amazing place for kids of all ages to enjoy. The kids aged 10 an7 cycled from Wincheap on a safe cycle path. Had a brilliant time exploring the vast play area. We go everytime they visit.

Although I would highly recommend bringing the kids here to let off steam on the park equipment there is also some keep fit stuff for us adults. Toilet facilities and usually an ice cream van are on site. Beware of the river though as it is close by and not guarded. If you also like walks and have kids this... More

I walk through the park when I go to work and the park is alway full of different people. From young children place to people workout or a nice game of football. It is free to use and since it has had its upgrade very nice place to go. Every other day a workman comes to make sure everything is... More

I used to play here 40 years ago and loved it - now take my two kids there and it's still great : if not better now as part of the river walk. Combine the visit with the Westgate Tower and Westgate gardens and you could probably make a day of it

There is plenty of places to sit, very good toilet facilities and a little ice cream truck for snacks. They also have parking which I is very handy, whenever my nephews come to... More
