On every visit to canterbury I walk through the park and it's peaceful and on occasions you can watch the squirrels. It's a lovely walk through and with the maze for children to do that has in the middle a slide. A great plsce for a picnic and a rest. The park is used over the year to hold different... More

This is a pleasant park that you can walk through between the train station and the city centre. It seems to draw quite a crowd on warm sunny days. The flower beds always seem well maintained. The park has a band stand, toilets and a small kiosk for things like tea and coffee. There is also a children's play area.... More

When I visit anywhere I like to wander on foot to as many places as I can. If you visit Canterbury and have time on your hands then you'd want to walk along the City Walls, (even if the view through the openings in the ancient 'fire-points' now, sadly, look across a main road onto modern buildings!). A walk along... More

The children loved climbing to the memorial and for us adults the view was a treat. The maze is also excellent for the children and a nice escape from the town centre.

I had no idea about these gardens and associated history. Rotten shame that the information plaques suffered from the scribble of yobs with their paint and ink markers.

Walking along the lime tree avenue past the fountain and seeing all the spring bulbs was splendid. We didn't climb up to the monument but many people did- I am sure the views were stunning.
