We had a fantastic time on the tour. Our captain of the Katherine Parr boat was Luke. He explained the history and added a few laughs on the way. The trip lasts about 45minutes, you get to see sights that you would not normally see on foot, three is so much history in Canterbury. This tour is a must.

My partner and I like these bus/boat visits a lot so we were not difficult about this and quickly decided to do a river tour. It's a nice way to learn about the historical background of the city, our guide had lots of funny and interesting anecdotes to share which made the tour even better. It was a glorious sunny... More

On a sunny day it's great to get out on the water and even better when someone else is doing all the hard work of rowing you around. It was nice to see that the Captains all seemed to be quite friendly with each other - messing around and paying each other out profusely. We had Captain Pete who was... More

A very enjoyable and informative boat trip today, well worth £9.50 for 45 mins on the river - excellent history lesson from the bearded Captain Harry who certainly knew his stuff and delivered it with the right amount of humour. Well done and highly recommended. Tarquin needs to grow his beard back!

We opted for a river trip as an afternoon activity and boy, was it worth it. With Alex at the helm ( and oars ) this was not only a relaxing educational insight to Canterbury but also very humorous with our captain spinning more yarns than Jackanory. 40 minutes of pure gold!
