It follows an old railway path and each section is a little different to the one before or after. Takes you into a little more of a quiet place, that just feels relaxed and comfortable.

Took the dog to Alban Way to explore fur first time. Excellent protected cycle path and good for runners and walkers. Not for dog walking though - is too busy and he just got in the way when off lead. I’ll stick to non-cycle paths but was very impressed that the cycle path was well maintained. Good to see.

I use the Alban Way every day at least 2 times. I meet some friendly people in the mornings and afternoons. Evening time is a bit more worrying. I would avoid it when it gets dark.

I use the Alban Way on a regular basis to go to work- and every time the experience makes me uneasy. Most users of the path are conscientious- however a small minority make everyone else uncomfortable, especially the youths who congregate where the paths intersect. Absolutely fine to use during daylight hours, but you won't catch me down there after 7pm by myself!
