Well what a beautiful pub. Myself and my two sons spent the day canoeing down the Wye. Pleasant walk from the campsite to the Ye Old Ferrie Inn. Food was fantastic with a pop up Pizza shop and a good selection of drinks. Brilliant young DJ playing summer hits in the background, whilst enjoying the amazing view! Well done Ye old Ferrie Inn!!

A lovely part of the world, I usually stay on the east side of Symonds Yat. However, I decided to try the old Ferrie inn, I was pleased I did as the place is a gem. Good food friendly staff, beautiful views from the bedroom window and the best English breakfast I’ve had in ages. Lots of great walking and river activities. Good free parking.

We went there for the New Year celebrations this year - and it was fabulous. A live band (The Black Pearl) played a superb set to a full (but thankfully not packed) house - justy enough room to dance and drink.
Wonderful fireworks at midnight followed by tasty snacks to keep us going. The landlord and bar staff could not have been more friendly and inviting.
Throughly recommended.

A wonderful old pub by the River Wye. 5 of us had the Roast beef. Beautiful! Really lean and tender with a giant Yorkshire pudding. The vegetables were presented mixed in big bowls to share and included a couple of different varieties to your standard fare. The best bit? When we asked for more gravy (as it was particularly delicious) we were served a very generous helping in a teapot! The 6th person had a vegetarian option from the main menu. Didn't quite get the drinks order correct but we can forgive that

Called in for an early evening drink and snack. Lovely place, kept in good condition and clean. Chips were plentiful and very tasty. We sat outside by the river. Saw the old ferry after which the pub was named. Great find

The river in full flood on a cold and grey December afternoon, provided an awe inspiring backdrop to our family lunch - no one was taking the ferry or lingering long outside. The wood burners were ablaze and the beer, cider and mead provided inner warmth. Our food orders came quickly and we enjoyed tucking into some local faggots and a lovely Mac and Cheese. We look forward to a return visit in the summer, maybe with some wild water swimming!

What a great place!!
We’ve been visiting the lovely Symonds Yat for years, but like most visitors, we’ve always gone to the East side of the river. I’d advise anyone to crossover the Wye! The weather wasn’t great for our visit but the staff were so friendly and helpful they made up for the showers. YOFI is a very old and quirky, historic, riverside Inn with a lot going for it. They have a great selection of drinks and very well prepared and presented food, served by very attentive staff. If you’re lucky with the weather, there’s a huge amount of riverside seating to take full advantage of the sun. We went for a lovely 4 mile circular walk, culminating with a rope ferry crossing to get us back across the river! We would have no hesitation in returning here.

Stayed at Old Ferrie Inn last weekend using 3 of the rooms plus bunkhouse for our family. Everyone loved it! Food was lovely as always, staff were brilliant and the rooms were cleaned to a high standard. The bathrooms have been updated since we last stayed in October and looked really nice and fresh. Even our young grandchildren loved staying in the bunkhouse! Plenty to do for all ages from this base. Many thanks for superb weekend. Would definitely recommend this Inn.

We booked the Ferrie Inn as part of our itinerary for our four day charity canoe event and am so glad we did. The food is amazing and service was always with a smile. Jamie the Landlord was a great host and even gave a large donation to our charity. Whether you are planning an event or a holiday you should look no further than this lovely place with views to die for.
