This is a s et of beautiful gardens set on the bank of the River Wye. Beware the poorly visible turn off the main road though. Plenty of parking (on grass) which could be tricky in very wet weather I guess. The gardens are set on a very steep bank with gravel paths, some of which are steep and some... More

This is a river bank visit up and down so to speak; plenty of riverside flowers etc, and great for a picnic on a fine day

I visited this attraction yesterday on a very hot day.We walked along a woodland path with some dome shaped shrubs on the left.We made our way upwards towards the tea tent. Here you are invited to make your own drink and there is a selection of cakes and payment is on a honour basis. The toilets are converted out houses and are... Did not expect such an interesting place. The history was well explained and the help yourself tea tent was good. The NT deck chair seating area was well used.

Always a pleasure to visit The Weir. Consistently well maintained by the professional staff, with the walled garden particularly improved this year, looking very good indeed.

The Weir garden is ideal for families, individuals wanting some tranquility and nature watchers. An assortments of paths guide you around the gardens, along the river, allowing you to climb the varying levels or stay close to the river. It's mostly accessible for all, we used to take our youngest around in a sturdy pushchair, bumpy over tree roots and... More

A great place to visit, the walk is nice and steady and deck chairs on hand for you to sit and enjoy the river views - also benches along the way - Very well laid out and such a pleasure to see everything growing and being tended so well.

The Weir Garden is unique but I feel the National Trust website need to be more accurate with their website information. True, there are toilets but they are at the end of a steep climb with a drop to the side. This aspect should have been made more clear on the NT website. If less able visitors only want to... More

Visited today even though the temperature was in the 30s.There is lots of shade to relax under out of the sunshine and being by the river makes it more enjoyable. The deck chairs had been put out at the far end by the river. We had taken a small picnic so that made it even better. There was alot of noise as staff...
