I walked 8km on the trail. The view is refreshing and the trail is easy. Suitable for walking with children.

Refreshing walk by the river Itchen in Winchester, this is the way we always walk into the city. Beautiful river and spot the trout. Best walk on a warm summers day.

A casual walk in The summer sunshine. Plenty to see along the way including mills and bridges. Interesting historic buildings too.

A great walk on a rare sunny day. The route was quite busy when we started off at Winchester. We will return to complete a longer section of the route on another occasion.

For the best route, follow signs to the water meadows and walk along the river to St Cross Hospital, then walk over Five Bridges Road to join up with the Itchen Navigation trail. Much prettier and more peaceful than following the Itchen Navigation route out...More

Enjoyed a walk along the river Itchen in Winchester , not far down from the tourist office. Even on a cold Dec day was charming and quiet, bit muddy in places . Water looked very clear . Walk over the bridge to water mill.
