Decent pub, which has recently spent a lot on converting to a Covid-compatible layout, with lots of outdoor seating. Midweek lunchtime - the service was good, the food on the whole was average pub grub. I had a white sandwich made with cut white bread. My husband had a reasonable burger and chips. My grandson had the veggie platter, which promised "beer breads"(plural) on the menu, and felafels, but only one beer bread materialised and there were NO falafels at all! Not good enough.

Organisation and staff. I have used this pub for years but this was my first visit in Covid times. I wanted a venue to meet with friends for a pre christmas lunch and beers. The organisation, logistics, staff attitude and quality of outdoor meeting was of the very highest quality. I could not fsult them and would highly recommend a visit....wrap up warm and take advatage of the brilliant outdoor area with heater and lights...superb.
