On the edge of the historical quater lies Hoglands Park. Another fine example of the many parks Southampton has to offer.
It makes Southampton one of Englands most green city centers.

This isn't a pretty park it's just a big open green. It's s ok if you want to play football or Frisbee. Every weekend gents play cricket in the afternoon and early evening.
There is a skate park and the park is used for regular festivals.
At the edge of the park near Debenhams is a memorial to those that died during the second world war, the air raid shelter had a direct hit and many were killed.

Central to town and easy to access by public transport. Good space for the Thai festival which I visited. The festival included lots of delicious food, alfresco massage and games/entertainment. Didn't like the beer tent being closed off from rest of the event. Nice couple of hours spent here.

During the day this park is just like all the others and a nice walk on a summers day. It has a skating ramp in it too but by night this park has been known for muggings, attacks and rapes.
Avoid walking through this park at night even with friends.

This park has a skatepark that has as much grip as ice making it just perfect and very fit for purpose. Other than that it has some grass and a few tress. If you want to get mugged; just keep walking through this park and someone will take a disliking to you.
For a good night out I'd suggest sitting on one of the benches and spitting on the floor! Seems to be pretty popular round here so must have something going for it!

Perfect place to take kids, have a picnic and a run around. Lovely to have green spaces like this in the city, much needed at the moment! Well maintained and open.

You can hardly call this a park. It is not much more than a field (of grass) and some trees. Of course you can call that a park but on combination with the size it hardly is.

Lovely stroll through here on a nearly Spring day. Space to chase and run. Skate park there for those who are prepared!
