Apparently this is a new micro-brew pub, and is conveniently located around the corner from my brothers home. My sister in law and one of her friends stopped in by chance and it was really a great little place. It's local folk that go and was a mixed crowd of very friendly people just having a gab. I had a... More

Brilliant little bar with a fantastic warm feeling children are welcome and there is nice seating by the window, great choice of ale on draft and good choice of bottled larger cider and wine which was good, very reasonably priced we look forward to returning soon🍻

As a real ale drinker this is a nice little place, 'little' being the operative word but don't let that put you off. The casks are up on the wall & dropped straight into your glass, good selection until they start to run out, great selection of bottled beers to. We went as a group of a dozen, spent around... More

Went for a pint with a large group and started playing a board game at our table before we finished our drinks. After our glasses were cleared and we had been playing for about 15 minutes, the waiter (wearing a Board In the City t-shirt) gruffly told us that he wouldn't let us stay unless we bought more drinks because... Although the beer was very good, the customer service was TERRIBLE. Was there with 6 friends and after only 1 1/2 hours we were told by the owner that he wouldn't let us stay if we didn't buy more drinks because there were people standing (we were at a table). We were extremely offended and left right away. He just... More

1st micro pub in town and having visited the others recently this is still my favourite! Always a good selection of beers on casks/kegs and although it would be great if there was more space it would possibly lose some of its undoubted appeal.

Such a shame about how much space they have, but if you can get in, or just outside, it's a delight. Wide choice of beers, and takeouts too. If only the triangle could be pedestrianised at weekends and evenings, allowing tables on the pavement like France. Well worth a visit.
