Visited with a group of friends. You have to order individually at the bar. The larger the group the larger the queue. One of the group ordered gammon and asked for a jacket potato rather than chips. She was charged an extra £1.50 for this...More

A good rump steak at the Master Builder, properly cooked medium as it was ordered. Other meals for the people I was with were similarly well received.

Have lived in West End for many years but only recently ventured out to our local hostalrys. One of the best I found is The Master Builder. Excellent beer, food and most helpful and friendly staff. I can highly recommend!

Lovely pub with very courteous bar staff and very child friendly. Food was unfortunately a bit grim. Salmon was overcooked and presented in a thin, flavourless 'parsley' sauce, alongside reheated new potatoes and a salad. Chef's curry was equally underwhelming, tasting of cheap curry powder...More
